Yeah... not really pumped about adding Ayton.

He's the ultimate homerun swing, that's for sure. Young enough and talented enough to drastically accelerate either/both timelines, but if you're struggling to get right around CP3 and Monty Williams, you'd really have to wonder if Dame (or god forbid a Dame-less Blazers) would be able to get him to turn the corner.

I made the case that at his worst, Ayton is roughly as productive as what we have in Nurk, a better fit for what Chauncey wants to do and obviously brings immense upside that Nurk doesn't, so I wouldn't mind it personally, but he's definitely still a gamble. If we could do Nurk, Nas, Keon and Knox (which works in Fanspo) I'd feel a little more comfortable doing that. Ayton replaces Nurk; Murray replaces Nas, Keon and Knox aren't needing to be replaced...

This rumor seems believable on its face because Morey demands such crazy shit but then you think about the fact that these are two centers that didn't play well together that he supposedly wants to add to his best player under contract... another center. At least without a third or fourth team this rumor doesn't make any fucking sense.

The more I look at it, the more willing I'd probably be in taking KAT for Ant and Nurk if we can't find a better fit. We'd finally get an all-star next to Dame and it didn't workout, we can flip KAT later.
