Is The Joker going to have one of the best seasons in NBA history and NOT get the MVP?

You guys see that tweet I posted above how this kid at Tennessee who I’ve never even heard of is making a TON more than a random NBA player. This has to start affecting/effecting/impacting kids decisions to declare for the draft right?

You do realize "impacting" can have multiple meanings such as an actual impact like the force something hits something else or that it can also indirectly just be an "effect" on something. The use can be from a transitive verb or intransitive verb. You don't want to confuse the usage and use it in place of a much more definitive form such as "collision" or "impingement". Though you could use it more figuratively as to "Impress" or "Influence" your position on a matter.

Thanks for your attention to this matter.

We will probably see more players stay in college for the full four years before declaring for the draft. Not all of them are going to get that kind of money though in college. Might see more drafts here and there that are more stacked and some that are even weaker then ones we have seen.

fwiw some guy from nbc sports was saying on Sirius NBA he has heard of two teams with "major shakeups" coming: PHX, not shocking and POR, Billups specifically mentioned.
Not sure how it can be considered a "major shakeup" with Billups contract having 3 games left.

I'd tend to think the Blazers will just promote an assistant or get a young college coach. Primarily they will want a cheaper contract than Billups.

If the Blazers think a new coach would earn more - I could see them just going with the one year option to bring Billups back.

If anything Billups would be the one pushing to part ways with the Blazers more than the Blazers wanting to cut him. Getting the wins he did with the pathetic Blazers roster this year was one of the more impressive coaching jobs in the league. He'd immediately be a top candidate on all NBA head coach job openings.

according to NBA.com; +/- per game:

Thybulle +0.6
Walker +0.3
Clingan 0.0
Scoot -0.6
Banton -0.7
Murray -0.9
Timelord -0.9
Avdija -1.1
Reath -1.2
Camara -1.9
Sharpe -2.1
Simons -3.1
Ayton -4.1
Grant -4.3

then there is the on/off net team/opponent rating:

Thybulle +5.5
Walker +4.8
Clingan +4.7
Avdija +4.0
Scoot +3.6
Camara +2.1
Murray +1.6
Banton +1.0
Sharpe -0.1
Simons -3.9
Grant -4.7
Ayton -4.9

Reath -5.6

then there is the traditional BPM:

Matisse Thybulle 4.8
Robert Williams 3.0
Deni Avdija 2.0
Dalano Banton 0.0
Anfernee Simons -0.1
Duop Reath -0.3
Toumani Camara -0.3
Donovan Clingan -0.6
Jabari Walker -0.7
Deandre Ayton -0.8
Shaedon Sharpe -1.6
Jerami Grant -1.7
Scoot Henderson -2.2
Kris Murray -3.0

obviously, all of these will be impacted by rotations, average minutes, and which games played vs missed

there really needs to be some kind of mitigation gauge for minutes differentials. Camara has played 2460 minutes; Walker 672; Thybulle 223

by the way, Simons-Ayton-Grant combine for 95.2M in salary next season
