he had some 2nd round magic; 1st round was mostly disaster

as for his 2nd round picks, his follow-ups sucked. He traded Barton and a 1st for Afflalo. He matched the idiot offer sheet for Crabbe and the stain of that mistake (Nicholson) is still on the Blazer books 3 years after Crabbe is out of the league and 6 years after he was traded. For some reason, Olshey declined to re-sign Connaughton so he signed with the Bucks for a minimum deal. Layman was an overrated scrub who Olshey drafted ahead of Georges Niang. And he traded Trent for Powell so Powell could be a full-time SF....geeeeezuz
I never said he was a good GM. I’m just saying he was decent at drafting.

Why would Damon go back to college.... wasn't he the coach at Arizona?
An assistant. Sean Miller was the head coach at Arizona the whole time Damon was there. He did coach at Pacific before going to Boston.

Well that Boston head coach being a complete nutjob might have something to do with it, but a great move for Damon.

One of the comments says "Still better than Ben"

Hahahahaha!

Like that would really matter with him.........
I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt. If I have the choice between assuming someone saw the entire conversation and completely whooshed it, or misinterpreted my words because they simply didn't see the preceding post, I'm going to choose the latter.

I'm only assuming. It's the most reasonable explanation for the misinterpretation.

He responds to me all the time, so I don't think so.

But I do have him on ignore because I can only take so much crazy on a daily basis.

Rockets beating the Celtics despite a big night from Brown and probably due to a pretty poor night from Tatum and really good performances for the Rockets by Green, Smith and Martin.

The Celtics have been struggling. If the Celtics flame out of the playoffs, what would it take to get Jaylen Brown?

Brown is one player I'd clear the deck for.

A fucking lot but we might have the payload to do it if the flame out. Ant, Nurk, our first this year, give the Knicks first the the Bulls, our firsts in 2024, '26, '28 and maybe even '30 but I think that would get it done. Boston is one team that might really value Nurk since their starter is a small mobile C.

The problem is I don't think Dame, Shae, Brown, Grant and a role playing mobile C would necessarily be enough to contend.
