Hilarious I bet all the blazer fans who were begging for this lady won’t mention this now lmao

Glad the Blazers didn't hire her.

But it was ridiculous how some fans didn't want to hire her because she was women, just as ridiculous as some fans wanting to hire her because she is a women.

Let the best candidate get the job, if its a women then hire her, if its a man hire him, if the person is black, or white, or Asian, or straight, or gay, or whatever attribute just hire the person with the best ability to teach and win games.

I love you guys acting like you know who is and isn’t being interviewed for coaching jobs. They don’t have any reason to tell Woj. Just like when a trade is announced like the Gobert deal and no one saw it coming. Stotts may be interviewing for the Bucks job as we speak!

GMs firing their coaches as they know there’s a lot to choose from. Meanwhile, we are stuck with Chauncey

We're not stuck with anyone besides Jody and Bert. Chauncey deserves a chance to coach a roster that at least his GM is cool with. When the GM tanks at Chauncey's first trade deadline with Lillard sidelined, then says he didn't build a complete roster in his first off season and then says that they couldn't get it done at the most recent trade deadline... I don't think you can fire the coach who the GM obviously thinks has never been given a chance.

I think Joe will end up putting together a roster that he thinks can compete and that means win in the regular season and make some noise in the playoffs. That's when we can judge Chauncey.

They have plenty of reasons to tell Woj.

1) Maybe they’re interviewing for another job and they want to make it known that they’re interested in that candidate before they accept another job

2) Agents want their clients (coaches) to appear more in demand, so they can leverage that in negotiations.

Of course, Stotts is the only coach that is somehow not being leaked to the media, while every other interviewee has been.

And he has been leaked to the media previously.

But this time is different!

I’m really not interested in the Stotts topic any more but I responded to this because I’m not acting like I know who is being interviewed. I’m acting like Woj does, because he more than likely does.

You acting like you know more than Woj is comical.

Also it doesn’t mean it won’t change; some of these teams are gonna whiff on who they want. Stotts might get an interview then, and I guarantee it will leak, just like it did with the Lakers.

Thought this might be a great place for this.

They have one all star right now. They are not tanking. I guess great weather and beaches win games?

what are you getting at if I may ask?

* Miami signs 'low-level' players like Caleb Martin, Max Strus, Duncan Robinson, & Gabe Vincent
* Portland signs 'low-level' players like Melo, Nic Stauskas, Mario Hezonja, and Anthony Tolliver

* Miami uses max cap space on Jimmy Butler
* Portland tries to use max cap-space on Roy Hibbert, Greg Monroe, & Chandler Parsons

* Miami doesn't make role-players untouchable in trade talks
* Portland makes CJ untouchable in trade talks for PG13 and Butler

* Miami uses a 13th pick on Tyler Herro and a 14th pick on Bam Adebayo
* Portland uses a 10th pick on Zach Collins and an 11th pick on Meyers Leonard

is there any wonder why the two teams are in totally different positions with polar-opposite options for ways forward?

is there any reason at all why Portland should have tried to make the play-in this season, like Miami did?

Is there any alternate universe when going for the play-in, failing, and ending up with an 12th pick is a better outcome than having the 3rd pick?

if I have misinterpreted what you were getting at I apologize in advance because I suspect I have

Jimmy Butler wasn't an all-star but has been the best player in the playoffs.

He leads his teams offense and is also a great defender, something Dame has never been.

Yes
Yes

The statement was that a destination is hardly a good reason any longer. We all know an NBA player can live anywhere and during the season weather makes very little difference. It does seem like when the weather gets real bad here in Portland for some reason the players get stuck on planes though? There are pretty good teams with very good players in places that are not "destinations" with nice beaches.

I don't think you have misinterpreted so much but maybe thought a little too far into the comment? Everyone here knows my stance on tanking.

Always liked this player in college i thought he had talent. Proving it in the playoffs. We could have got him easily missed opportunity.

Who did Wizards trade for Hachimura?

guard Kendrick Nunn

The Washington Wizards have traded forward Rui Hachimura to the Los Angeles Lakers for guard Kendrick Nunn and three second-round picks, the teams announced Monday.

I think one giant problem Olshey had, mainly because of his blind love of CJ, was that he was always wasting assets on bench-level role players when what the Blazers desperately needed was another all-star or two. He wasted time, focus, and asset capital buying accessories before securing the car

Hachimura would just be another example of that. The Blazers wouldn't have Lebron and AD to fade the heat allowing Rui to free-lance wide open shots and wide open driving lanes. Hachimura would not alter Portland's trajectory at all. He's the kind of player you look at after the core is in place

"Milwaukee just squeaked by on a 189-188 victory."
