Looking at the 6:40 PST tip-off of ATL @ ORL I was thinking ……..

Then I saw it’s in Mexico City, Mexico.

So the NBA expansion is coming? You can bet that Vegas is getting a team. So it probably comes down to Seattle and Mexico City? I want Seattle.

Is Skylar Mays’ Capitanes jersey hanging in the rafters above this game? Because it goddamn well should be.

54 points means dick if it’s a loss. If he scored 2 and they won that would mean more.
People post on here we didn't make the playoffs last couple seasons even though Dame was putting up career numbers.....Well it wasn't HIS fault they didn't. Tonight above somebody posted that even though Giannis had 50 something they list. Well no shit, he had no help. They didn't lose BECAUSE of him is all I'm saying FAMS.

I'm damn sure he would have rather have won....should he have not put up 54 points trying to do that?

It depends doesn't it? Would focusing on defense have helped more? Would spreading the shooting out more have prevented the defense from focusing on him later in the game? If the answer to either is yes, then he should not have gone for 54. If he doesn't trust the other players on the court to do the job, then that's its own problem.

I'm happy he did put up huge numbers because it inflated his trade value; there's no way in hell he would need to play that well individually with good players around him. And because he did, defenses could collapse on him and make the rest of the team beat them (which we couldn't most of the time). It wasn't Dame's fault the team sucked, but we might have won a few more games in different ways if he hadn't made himself the overwhelming focus. (Probably not because we sucked the last couple years)

It’s hilarious that Sac chose Fox over Haliburton. They are gonna regret that decision for a very long time. Sabonis is a very good player but that team is lacking a superstar and Haliburton is a better player now than Sabonis is. And younger. Total Kangz move.

And don't make me start writing about Yogi Ferrell;)

I mean, he had most of the roster around him tonight that he did when they won the NBA title two years ago. Seems more often that not that when one guy puts up that many, his team is in trouble on the night.

They haven't sniffed playoff success in a long time, they needed to do something. They did, and it got them into the playoffs. Of course, it has been pointed out that they were unusually healthy last year. However, their success isn't necessarily sustainable, but there is always risk.

Plus Fox has been terrible while he’s been out. Hasn’t scored a single point. Ridiculous.

To your actuall point, I’m not sure what Fox’s around the league value was at the time of the trade. It was good but probably not Sabonis level good.

I don't know about Haliburton being better than Sabonis, last season:

really depends on what a team needs. Sabonis is a little more efficient, a terrific rebounder, maybe the best in the NBA, and the 2nd best passing C in the league. On the other hand, Haliburton is nearly 4 years younger so you'd expect he has quite a bit of upside while Sabonis is just entering his prime. Haliburton has seeming taken his game up a notch this season; Sabonis hasn't for the most part...but sample size

neither player is noted for good defense and both have had some injury issues

besides all that, did Indiana really give the Kings an option of either Fox or Haliburton? or did they demand Haliburton? I haven't heard one way or the other

You clearly don't understand the small sample size argument. Waste of time talking to a wall, carry on.

I don't? Is this another mind reading I'm unaware of? I do enjoy those efforts. Since I'm notoriously a big picture guy, I'm pretty sure I get a 'small sample size' argument. Was just commenting on the the statistics of the total season so far and what one abnormality of a quarter has done.....or hadn't done.

Does that help?
