Although it's SUPER early, and championships aren't won in October, there does seem to be something just not firing right with the Bucks.

Which is strange, considering that Dame now has had a full year there, and put in a lot of effort to get his body/mind in the right place.

I know the *rest* of their roster isn't necessarily good (I don't think even healthy that they're going to beat the Celtics, let alone the Knicks or even 76ers), but I don't think they're 1-4 bad.

No Khris Middleton.

Danny Ainge has taught master classes about maximizing trade value for picks

beginning to look like he's going to teach a master class this season about tanking

He's no doubt a good to great GM, but it's just hard to figure out what strategy he's going with in Utah. Would seem to be a rebuild but then he's holding onto Lauri, Clarkson, and others.

I remember reading last summer he was shopping Clarkson but couldn't find any takers

and, I'm not positive about this but it might be that extension Markkanen signed in August made him ineligible to be traded until Dec 15

Utah had to hit the salary floor anyway. Their payroll is nearly 40M less than Portland's

Lauri can't be traded until June.

Although maybe the plan is to flip him then. They use the cap space to front load his contract so he'll have more trade value next season.

It's not a bad strategy, if we had not paid for 6 big vet contracts last season maybe we could have structured Grants contract more along those lines and he'd have more trade value today or at the deadline.

Banchero out for 4 to 6 weeks. Devastating injury

This guy is pretty good with his NBA news.. Nice that he shows the Box Scores.

Including Dame's 1-12 performance (4 points) in Memphis.

He does a nice job of re-capping the games and adding comment on what's going on.
