middleton was 6/27 against the mavs

some fucking accountability would be nice, both from coach and the player... if youre not making shots, you should stop shooting

This is terrible advice, shooters shoot
When I played ball if I was 0/10 my team would rather see me go 0/20 then 0/11.

Anthony Edwards is like some kind of guru. He really cuts through the bullshit

He will not only be their best player someday, but he will also be their leader. They made the right choice picking him #1.

Middleton also does something many in Portland aren't used to.....plays defense.

It is this oft-forgotton other 50% of the floor. I get why that wouldn't get taken into account due the fact in Portland, it is nearly unrecognizable...but it is a thing on the better teams.

if youre not making shots, let someone else shoot it, they might make the shots

if im the coach, i wouldnt allow that shit, but i guess thats just difference between european and american basketball

I think that's just the difference between you and top-end players and coaches.

All statistical performance has variation, where things go better or worse than average for stretches. The key is that you have no idea when such a stretch will end--variation isn't connected with artificial constructs like the ends of quarters or ends of games. If one of your stars is having a bad stretch, telling them to stop shooting is much more likely to just take one of your stars out of the game than it is to avoid more missed shots. Because regression to the mean is always more likely than a continuation of bad shooting luck (barring something like injury).

...Which is why David Blatt is revered in Europe and got laughed off the Cavs in half a season.

This is missing a lot of context...

If you are 0/10, dominating the ball, and taking difficult/contested long-range shots.... I'd be furious if you kept shooting and went 0/20.

If there was lots of ball-movement, you're taking good open looks, and/or being aggressive in taking it to the hoop - then I'm completely fine with that approach.

OKC’s Poku is rapidly improving. He played spot minutes early and showed enough improvement and consistency to earn a significant bump in playing time — Anfernee is in year #3 and has yet to show this. And Poku is only 19!

He’s averaging 19 ppg in his last five and his skillset and size is already a problem for opposing teams.

He and Moses is a nice future front court.

Even when we were blowing out OKC I was impressed with Poku's talent. But he looks hilarious! He looks like you took a nerdy kid who sits up front in class and gets bullied and then stretched him on a rack. And he always looks miserable. Not sure Brown is going to be the future for the team, but he's certainly looking more like he'll stick in the league than he did with us.

Wish him luck! If the NBA went back to 90's style NBA GP II would be starting PG in the NBA. Instead, he's signing 10 day contracts trying to make it in the NBA.

You're thinking of The Glove... The Mitt just isn't very good. He might be bench material on the right team, but he doesn't have starting talent for any era of NBA basketball.

Gary Trent Jr with 25 points at the half vs the Cavs! Let’s go Gary!

Alex Rodriguez buying the t wolves?

I think you mean Marc Lore buying the Timberwolves, and Alex Rodriguez is in an adjoining room.

44pts on 17-19 shooting (only 3-3 FT) is a once-in-a-lifetime game.

At the rate he's going he'll be our lead option next season (Siakam moves to second, which benefits everyone).
