eh? we could have just as easily signed Rondo off waivers if we wanted to since we have ~5 mil of our MLE left. He wasn't traded from MEM to LA, MEM simply bought him out and LA claimed him.Man I wish the trade exception that the Blazers have was worth another million. It would be such a sweet move to be able to grab Rondo off waivers and leave the Lakers hanging.

Which of these applies to LA?Maybe I'm reading the CBA FAQ wrong, but it says:
"A team can claim a player on waivers only if one of the following is true:
Nothing about using the MLE is listed.
- The team is far enough under the salary cap to fit the player's entire salary.
- The team has a Disabled Player exception for at least the player's salary (see question number 25), and the player is on the last season of his contract.
- The team has a trade exception for at least the player's salary (see question number 87).
- The player has a minimum salary contract (one or two seasons at the minimum salary, with no bonuses of any kind)."
There was one important missing guideline there. Or the Lakers want said player.Maybe I'm reading the CBA FAQ wrong, but it says:

With Rondo they'll have 13 players under contract. And maybe the NBA Board of Commissioners can't vote to allow the Lakers to have a 20 man roster.
In a GOOD or a BAD way? This is getting ridiculous
Ahhhhh, depth is a good thing to have when your squad is so old. Quality addition if it happens. If you think about it, their 3rd string PG and Center are better than our 2nd string.I don't see it being a real thing. Having Dwight, Gasol and DeAndre on your roster makes no sense... but who knows.
kyrie seems like a good person, but hes a bit lost
He would help our second unit tremendously! We win 50 games if he was our backup PG.Which of these applies to LA?
Edit: oh, sorry I understand what you're saying. You wanted us to grab him before clearing waivers and going to LA. I don't see Rondo being much of a player btw. He was useless on the floor in LA last year in the playoffs. Perhaps on the sidelines, he could make an impact, but I want a guy who can get on the floor for 10-15 mpg
Excited to see what Presti does with all those picks.
I don't hate the Sonics like a lot of people. The only team I dislike is the Timberwolves because their fans are a bunch of jackholes that spammed us with Oden dick picks. What self respecting Blazer fan could be excited for the Thunder...?
I mean... They used to be the Sonics... Fucking cats... Can't trust em'...![]()

But, having that many picks and trying to build a small market team is like a wet dream for me. I haven't felt like we were a contender as much since we had Roy, LMA and took Oden. And had Batum, Rudy, Sergio etc. We got with picks. I want that feeling again.
No, that's only when YOU think about it.If you think about it, their 3rd string PG and Center are better than our 2nd string.
Good thing it's not 2013!
The Lakers are so over stacked that they might as well just cancel the entire season and hand out the rings right now.
Anyone who ever tries to tell me LeBron is GOAT, when they can manufacturer him a team like this, is barking up the wrong tree.
No way they're as good as the Nets. But that's only if both teams are healthy. When both of them go down with multiple injuries and fail to make the conference finals (again) I shall bask in the sweet, sweet schadenfreude. The Lakers are so over stacked that they might as well just cancel the entire season and hand out the rings right now.

Crazy Question:Really? It's the All-Washed team.
Just going back the last 20 years, oldest average age of an entire roster is 31.4 years of age.Crazy Question:
What is the record for the oldest average player age on opening day? How do the current Lakers stack up?
Oldest average starter?
So the NBA is telling all of these players to sign with the Lakers is your belief? And therein lies the other over stacked team. Me thinks the league will make sweet coin off of a LeBron and Kyrie rivalry. It also seems to be too much of a coincidence to be believable, that it wasn't manufactured by the league, for that very purpose.
The NBA is a corrupt machine.
Be careful how far you go down conspiracy highway - you might find yourself eating horse de-wormer.And therein lies the other over stacked team.
