Apparently a lot of GMs are expecting the Raptors to trade somebody soon. They're hovering around .500 and last in the league in half-court points. But they're not looking to trade the players everyone wants, like OG and Barnes. Fred VanVleet has forgotten how to shoot since the all-star break last year, and it sounds like the coach has given up on Trent. Obviously, if Siakam became available, we'd be interested, but I don't know if they want another undersized gunner from us. It occurs to me that the Heat and Raptors should swap Lowry and VanVleet. Lowry always said he wanted to retire a Raptor, and Pat Riley has a past of rehabilitating undersized gunners who looked past it (Tim Hardaway). Meanwhile the Heat are also pretty underwhelming, and Riley has saddled them with a bunch of crappy contracts (like Robinson). However, he's as good at unloading those contracts as he is at handing them out (see Juwan Howard, e.g.)
