that loss is on lebron he waited way too long to shoot a contested 3 he shoulda tried to drive at least but what do i know...
Get outta here with that FAMS! That dude had 33/9/9/2 on 14/25 from the field. That loss is on every other player and coach on that roster BUT him!

Amazing. Lakers were up 13 with what, 3 minutes to go and LeBron missed a 3 that would’ve made it 16? And then they lose? The NBA. Where Amazing Happens.

Dame/Simons/Bojan/Grant/Nurk is a great team.
Bojan so far this season is shooting career-highs 66% true shooting % and 44% on 3- pointers. He's shooting 89% on his free-throws, which would not be a career-high for a season (90% and 93%).
Averages 31 minutes per game this season,
14 shots, 6 of them 3-pointers. Has started and played in 28 of 29 Piston games.
He's 33 years old and will turn 34 in April.
This season his salary is $19.55 million,
Has 2 more years on his contract at $20 million next season and $19 million the following season.

Why Luke Kornet's Contest is effective for the Celtics

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/35240700/luke-kornet-contest-effective-boston-celtics

WHEN WILL HARDY first saw Boston Celtics center Luke Kornet's weird trick to contest 3-pointers, he was bemused.

"I thought it was absolutely f---ing hilarious," Hardy, who spent last season as an assistant with the Celtics before becoming head coach of the Utah Jazz this summer, told ESPN.

"'You're 20 feet from the ball. Why are you jumping?' But, then on film you watch it, and you're like, 'Dude, for a second the shooter can't see the basket.'"

Seeing the 7-foot-2 Kornet leap straight up like he's challenging a dunk when the opposing shooter is on the other side of the court certainly messes with the common perception of 3-point defense.

And, as strange as it looks, it appears to be having a legitimate effect.

Don't know why everybody is ignoring the fact that he gives up free offensive rebounds to his man.

How often does he actually give up the offensive board though? Could be why nobody is talking about it, if it doesn’t happen much.

here's a list of the new trophies :
  • The Michael Jordan Trophy: Awarded to the NBA Most Valuable Player
  • The Jerry West Trophy: Awarded to the NBA Clutch Player of the Year
  • The Hakeem Olajuwon Trophy: Awarded to the NBA Defensive Player of the Year
  • The Wilt Chamberlain Trophy: Awarded to the NBA Rookie of the Year
  • The John Havlicek Trophy: Awarded to the NBA Sixth Man of the Year
  • The George Mikan Trophy: Awarded to the NBA Most Improved Player of the Year
The bolded one looks like a brand new trophy. If it had already existed, maybe Dame would have a few by now.

Just sitting down to watch this Lakers vs Celtics game….

Hell no. I’d take Bogdanovich, Bey or Stewart though.

I don't think they want to dump Bey or Stewart. Bogdanovich is not worth 20 million nor the players it would take to match his salary.

Noel, I wanted 2 years ago, but his injuries make him a bit risky. But when healthy he is a good rim protector. If we could get him cheap and if he is currently healthy, he could be worth the risk. On paper, he fills a need.

Luka Doncic assessed technical foul after yelling at Mavericks teammate: ‘I’ll get that one back for sure’

Early in the third quarter, Thunder point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was fouled on a layup, giving the budding star an opportunity for a three-point play.

Doncic, frustrated with the result of the play, could be heard yelling at teammate Dwight Powell.

The referee, thinking Doncic was complaining about the call, gave Doncic a technical foul.

Took Zion a few weeks to get his legs, but he's been awesome since. The defensive improvement has really stood out for me. His effort and commitment level has made a huge jump. Closeouts can still an adventure at times but his technique and movement overall has looked much better.

It'll be interesting too see how that team meshes when BI comes back though. Putting Zion on ball more has really keyed a lot of this run for them.
