phoenix is close to top 10 in the US media market. We're maybe like 20.

Sale also came with the Phoenix WNBA team apparently.

They were also in the finals last year and have a 26 yr old all NBA player locked into a long term contract.
I think we would be valued higher considering the team OWNS the Moda Center. The city of PHX owns theirs. That is worth more than Devon Booker.

TV market size I wonder how that comes into play. The major networks distribute the money evenly. It is on the individual teams to market their Regional broadcast to sponsors though.

Pelicans have lost 4 in a row. They should blow it up.

the Pelicans had one of the easiest schedules in the NBA over the first 2 dozen games. It's been a harder schedule lately and they aren't looking so hot. They had a 15 game stretch when 12 of the games were at home. If inflated their record. They then had a 3 game road trip and lost all three games. 4 of their next 5 games are at home, then their schedule becomes road-heavy. Stay tuned

I have no clue why the 1-year change was +2% for Portland and +50% for Phoenix
maybe cuz we had one of our worst records in franchise history last year with a lot of uncertainty (management changes on both the bball side and the business side), while Phoenix had one of their best records ever while being thought of as a finals contender.

Massive difference though.

to piggy back on that

Maybe because for the last year everybody knew they had to sell? Would that raise the value. I know in the housing market if a desired house is about to go on the market, the price goes up.

The bigger head scratcher from those valuation figures is Portland's stadium value being $268M, while Phoenix's is $399M. Flip those around to how they probably should be, and the overall difference between the two franchises is $0.4B or less.

I'm not sure how old Phoenix's arena is, but I know we have one of the oldest. I'm guessing they're looking largely at age (depreciated value) and ignoring ownership.

They just did a huge renovation of their arena. I believe it's only a few years older than MODA.

How did the Suns lose a 10pt lead with 4 minutes left at home to the lowly Wizards?

I had action tonight on the Wizards and Nuggets. Looks like they’ll be making me some money.

Wow! Monty Williams and Ayton got into a huge shouting match during a time out down the stretch in their game tonight!!!

Portland was rumored to be interested in ayton this summer…
