Kevin Love being an ass isn't anything new.

How is Boston not getting in trouble for this?

Good question. Maybe because they didn't initiate the conversation? Which makes Love (If this is all true) a bonafide a-hole.

Still would be tampering to talk to another team's player, no? :dunno:

So let's say Love wants to be traded to Boston at the draft, how would it be done? Boston doesn't have pieces so they'd have to get a 3rd team involved quickly.

Maybe something like this?

Boston receives: Kevin Love and Luigi Datome

Minnesota receives: Greg Monroe, Chauncey Billups, Jared Sullinger and the 6th pick

Detroit receives: Jeff Green, Avery Bradley, 2015 top 14 protected pick and the Clippers 1st round pick.

This why Allen passed on him two years ago. And went with the experienced guys. He's not in step with policies and procedures.

ESPN has learned that Knicks president Phil Jackson has been fined $25,000 for tampering with Oklahoma City Thunder guard Derek Fisher

Took them that long to figure that out?

Cripes, Fisher was old when the Lakers were winning championships in the 00's... now Phil wants him 10 years later?!

As his 'head coach' lol.

All these things coming up are red flags and are why It would make sense that Paul Allen wouldn't be interested.

That would be an awful trade for Minny, and they could do better. Monroe would be a terrible fit next to Pekovic, Billups is beyond done, and while I like Sullinger he and the 7th pick are nowhere near good enough to make up for Love (not to mention Sullinger's injury red flags). In all honesty Detroit would make out like bandits in that trade scenario too.

Wait, hold up. First Kevin Garnett abandons Timberwolves for Boston, now Kevin Love wants to abandon the Timberwolves for Boston? Does it get better?

Billups is just a cap filler and a player-coach. Idk I just think Monroe, Sullinger and a Marcus Smart/Zach Lavine is a fair deal for Love if he wants out now (to a team he would re-sign with).

The Lakers currently suck and will probably suck for at least a couple more seasons so yes it does get better.

I think that's best-case for the Wolves, considering that the entire league knows the Wolves have no leverage.

Besides Phil Jackson, that's what's keeping Larry Brown and George Karl out of the league. Carping, making waves with the GM, and going against the grain.

Looks like Houston declined Chandler Parsons' team option. Looks like they'll play for a big target like Melo. Would we be interested in Parsons? Would he come off of the bench?

I'd take Parsons off the bench, for sure.

They are trying to move Lin/Asik, sign an FA and then be able to go above to cap to resign Parsons.

It doesn't matter what they do with Lin/Asik. Because the Rockets declined the option, they now hold Parsons' RFA rights and can match any offer. The Rockets are gambling that no one is going to offer Parsons a Batum-esque contract. Moving Lin and Asik would lower their tax for next year, but should they not be able to move either Lin or Asik, they can still re-sign Parsons as well as make a BAE offer to another player. If they want to pay for it, they can do it.

Best thing anyone can do is to offer Parsons a contract he agrees to from the get go, before they can offer anything to Carmelo, putting Houston in a tough spot by having to make a decision on Parsons even before they can hear back on Melo if by this time they are successful at moving Asik/Lin.

Unless they can move guys for cap space, I don't see any way they can sign Melo. They would have to convince New York to do a sign-and-trade, and getting Lin/Asik for Melo isn't exactly an ideal haul for a star like Anthony.

I usually stay away from the "there is only one ball" type analogies, but in this case where you would have Anthony, Harden, and Howard on the same team I am not convinced it would work. Mainly because of Melo/Harden.

I guess it would give those two the opportunity to rest throughout the season. They are such duplication of talents. They seem to love the ISO offense. Crunch time would be interesting.

Oh I think it would be hilarious. I wish they would do it. It would be like watching the Rockets when they had Pippen, Barkley, and Hakeem.

FYI: The Kevin Love to Celtics story being attributed to RealGM is from a forum poster and not any of our actual reporters.

If i may pull a Blazerwookee, "reporters", lol

Why should we be forced to take Olynyk? :)

Can't tell if that is sarcasm.(Regarding LMA, Or just ribbing the local Zag fan) I wouldn't take it for LMA unless I thought we were losing him for sure. And I have yet to think it.
Minnesota on the other hand is a different story. (That is who I posted about) They have to deal IMO. And they have to deal to a team that Love likes.

Not a great deal for them, but not bad either.
