Why? Each game happens in a vacuum.
Because I'm superstitious, or something else irrational...the same reason my Trob jersey isn't allowed to touch the floor or be washed after a win.

Edit: I also went to the Miami and Dallas game this year, wore my Lillard jersey both times. I swear every time I touch that jersey on a game day the blazers lose.

Ah, got it!

That god the Pacers have a GM that knows how to bake a cake.

It almost looks like a set-up to me, though! Did Griffin forget to put the water in the Sprite cup tape under his seat? Then, after being doused in "Sprite", the fan would pour a second cup on himself, because the Sprite is just that good! OK, maybe not.

That's clearly obvious by Griffin. Will he be fined for it? I understand being upset with the refs, but deliberately throwing a cup of water on an opposing fan seems to be pushing the envelope. Griffin's lucky that fan took it in good fun, so good on that fan!

"The fan didn't think it was intentional." Well then, the fan needs to watch the replay. Griffin OBVIOUSLY did that on purpose. That's about as believable as the Jason Kidd incident.

Griffin should be fined.

Yeah, that was obviously intentional.

On a side note, chris, your signature takes up more screen space than pretty much every other regular here combined.

Yeah I know. Gotta do something about that.

Edit: done.

Anyone else sick of the timber remix every time out?

HOLY CRAP. Did anyone hear what Roy Hibbert had to say after the game on ESPN?

I don't have the audio or video, but he said (to paraphrase) 'I thought I did fine on defense, and we'll look at film to find out who is the weak link. We'll point out the selfish players first.'

WOW!!!

Just saw the continuation on Griffin throwing his water on the Warrior fan. After the gif cuts off, the fan says something like "come on!" to Griffin, and Griffin then splashes what's left on the guy, too.

Wow. Best first day of playoffs in a long time. Maybe ever. Can't wait for tomorrow.

Re: OT: Blake Griffin is a piece of crap for this

If it ain't on the front page I don't go lookin' for shit...

You know, I've been thinking about MIXUM, and I think the guy who appears to be MIXUM on the other forum is actually one of y'all faking it to keep up appearances that MIXUM even exists. I think the real MIXUM is like Dread Pirate Roberts, retired or dead. We just needed someone to castigate, so the old villain was dusted off and a little pet drama was created around him.

Well first game of the post season in the books. Anybody else notice defense isn't winning? Memphis lost, Indy lost. Defensive jugernauts went down right away. If you can't score, it's tough to win

Those threads by him over there are hilarious.

Warriors are 23-4 this year when Curry scores less than 20 points.

They are 28-24 when he scores more than 20 points, according to ESPN.

Curry's scoring is a lot like Lillard's scoring: a symptom that nothing else is working. Balanced scoring generally means the offense is clicking, and that means you're probably doing things right.

Certainly it isn't an indictment of Curry or Lillard that, when they don't *have* to score as much, the team doesn't have as good a record.

Re: OT: Blake Griffin is a piece of crap for this

But it wasn't 'inadvertent'. He clearly did it on purpose, then threw the cup at him for good measure. As I said already, he should be fined.

The cup throwing was the "and fuck off" after the spill's "shut up!"

I wish the fan had jumped Blake and beat his ass. Fucking pansy.
