Lakers SOS is -.43. Ours is -.46
I was responding to Nate who said only 5 of our 16 wins have come against over .500 teamsNot taking away from what you said, how many Blazer wins have come at the expense of winning teams?
Guess who isn't going to be in the postseason? Sacramento. Cleveland. Houston. Chicago. Orlando. TWolves.
Guess who will be in the playoffs? Utah. Denver. Spurs. Clippers. Bucks. Pacers. Etc.
Ok here's some stats about our record so far:
Out of our 16 wins, only the Lakers, Warriors, and Sixers have a winning record. So 5 wins are against teams with a winning record.
9 wins have come against the Eastern Conference.
In our 10 losses, if you exclude the close ones to shitty teams like the Bulls, Knicks, and Thunder we have lost by the following margins
22-5 Jazz - 20 point loss
21-8 Clippers - 23 point loss
14-13 Warriors - 15 point loss
14-13 Pacers - 24 point loss
16-11 Spurs - 21 point loss
16-11 Bucks - 28 point loss
So aside from beating the Lakers early in the season and proving that we seem to have the answer for the Sixers, we have been absolutely embarrassed any time we have gone against a true playoff team like the Jazz, Clips, Pacers, Spurs, or Bucks. This team has had some really good success lately, but we need to prove we can beat the good teams in the league.
Either way i think they make it into the playoffs.Playoff or play-in?
We’ll be facing the Pacers in playoffs?Ok here's some stats about our record so far:

So splitting against playoff teams and feasting on losing teams doesn't sound about right to you? That's what good teams do. I think it's overachieving. This roster isn't as good as it could be with some smart trades, has been plagued by injuries that should have been devastating and the coaching isn't what I'd have it be. So why would you complain about or try to diminish the team's record? Due to us splitting the games with good teams and beating the teams we should it's not like you can call the record fools gold.Ok here's some stats about our record so far:

oh, i didn't see that.I was responding to Nate who said only 5 of our 16 wins have come against over .500 teams
True. If you lose to playoff teams, you suck. If you lose to lotto teams, you suck. For some people, anything less than 82-0 is a disaster. So splitting against playoff teams and feasting on losing teams doesn't sound about right to you? That's what good teams do. Out of the Lakers' 21 wins, only 4 have come against teams with a winning record. 5 of their 7 losses have come against WC playoff teams based on current standings.
It's always the same every year.
The Blazers suck.. Then they win a game.
The Blazers can't play the right kind of offense. No flow. Then they start winning and scoring well.
The Blazers can play offense but their defense sucks. Then they start playing better defense.
The Blazers can't put together any dominant wins. Then they blow a couple teams out.
The Blazers aren't winning the right way. Then they win with good defense and nice all around scoring with 6 players in double figures.
Now it's The Blazers aren't beating the right teams.
You can please some of the people some of the time but you will never please all of the people all the time.
Relax and enjoy the season.
This is all Entertainment. S2 is entertainment!
I have been making this argument from the beginning.
Exactly my point.
Will Olshey bring in Blake Griffin to PDX for one year rental?
Oh the level on conceit is astonishing.Your point was that the argument has changed.
The argument hasn't changed at all.
We are beating bad teams. We are getting blown out by good teams. The argument is the same.
I wish Embiid was playing tonight, I was looking forward to the 76ers vs Jazz
it seems like in every big matchup (hell any matchup) at least one important player is out..I want to see how these teams stack against each other with the whole rosterThe Jazz play the Nets next - and Durant will be out for that one. They have a great record, but they've also had some very nice breaks.
ONCE AGAIN, I don't defend Terry..... I defend the idea and premise that it is all on his shoulders........GOOD OR BAD!!!!! Fucks on here actually believe constantly that HE is the lone reason we lose games and that's it. It just gets old son.And yet you're the one true White Knight to rush in and defend Terry or the team.
Where does the buck stop? Olshey? Terry? Owner? What's your opinion? I'm interested.ONCE AGAIN, I don't defend Terry..... Outstanding research bro. and YES, this SHOULD be happening. We are missing 3 starters and have the worst coach and defense in the league. So did you expect anything different?Ok here's some stats about our record so far:

Well, wait a sec. If WE can't use injuries as an excuse, then why should they?We shall see how good the L*kers going to be real soon, no AD for 2-3 weeks and their upcoming opponents including recent nuggets is going to be a tough stretch. It does not look fun.
So now the NETS can use the injury excuse? When can we, when can we?The Jazz play the Nets next - and Durant will be out for that one. They have a great record, but they've also had some very nice breaks.

THE PLAYERS!!!!!!! The only ones you DIDN'T mention.Where does the buck stop? Olshey? Terry? Owner? What's your opinion? I'm interested.
WE should win that game easily with them having one of their best players out. Here's hoping they cry about the AD injury when we beat them on the 26th. That game has become a lot more winnable now.
I wonder if we would win it if they had THREE STARTERS out?WE should win that game easily with them having one of their best players out.
