I understand starting high and asking for a lot during the initial stages, but some of these offers are insulting. I mean, Wiggins, Wiseman and 7+14 is already asking too much. Why tack on the two firsts in your request?

Morey to Simmons, in the near future:

"You see Ben, this is how much we value you. No other team in the league values you as much as we do. If I were running the Warriors, I'd have made that trade for you in a heartbeat. Clearly, these other GM's don't realize what a special player you are, but I do.

Come on back to Philly and let's make another run at this thing together. "

The Sixers and Morey act like Simmons is Dame and LeBron rolled into one when in reality he is a half notch to a notch above CJ in value --- I think in reality the Sixers should hope to get either a Top 50 player and 2 mid 1st's or a Top 10 Pick and a solid role player as a starting point and maybe throw in a 2nd or 2 BUT that is IT.

ADDON -- Unless some team just believe Simmons can all of a sudden get his head on straight and learn to shoot i believe the owner is going to have to step in and tell the GM -- OK get a solid package and let's move on stop living in dream land.

Morey knows all the other GMs saw Simmons s**t the bed in 7 straight playoff 4th quarters right?

Although he said Brooklyn was trying to move up. Now Brooklyn has both 27 and 29.....I think there's a chance they package those two to move up.

Honestly, even we do execute a blockbuster this off-season, I cannot see it happening until ink is on paper with regards to Powell.

@B-Roy any reason you aren't posting these in the stickied thread? didn't realize there was discussion going on about all this here. Thought that was the thread for today.

Makes no sense to trade him tonight unless someone overpays

He can't be there at the beginning of the season. That will tank his value more and might even cause Embiid to ask for a trade. Watch Simmons traded tonight.

"Declined that offer"

Yeah, I had a similar offer of having a four-way with Charlotte McKinney, Brittney White and Kate Upton that was similarly "declined". The funny part is my offer was a LOT more reasonable than Morey's laugh track-worthy offer.
He's making offers that are so ridiculous that he's not getting negotiations going. It makes me think he has negotiations with a few teams that aren't just declining his offers and he's making these ridiculous offers that are being turned down to prove to the teams he's negotiating with that he really is serious about them having to overpay.

So the lakers were going after Hield, but now the the trade pieces are being discussed to trade for Westbrick.

The chess moves are crazy. The Buddy Hield deal leaking prompted Washington to act. If this happens I have to imagine Beal is next.

BWAHAHAHA please self-own Lakers. PLEASE!

Westbrook will kill his legacy going there.

Make it happen. He hasn't played in a big market yet (Houston doesn't count).

Yep and we should and the cap for me is CJ + DJJ + One of our two good youngins Nas or Ant + 2 FRP's. That's the ceiling and I'm definitely willing to do that. Would prefer to keep Nas I think as he's more versatile, but if we get Simmons Ant's shooting could be invaluable. I'd rather not trade either and I'm starting to come around on a CJ + RoCo package and keeping the young bucks for salary/position balancing purposes.

Westbrook gets traded every year nowadays. Dude essentially became a journeyman over night. His 30 for 30 should be good
