Shame about eaton. A man mountain if there ever was one.

Fun Facts: Chris Paul team lost 11 straight playoff games when Scott Foster is the ref…. WOW

Do you think the price Milwaukee paid was that high? Three very late first round picks and a couple older mediocre vets?
Those picks in 2024 through 2027 could be top 5 for all we know.

Mercy! from the finals to a first round sweep! maybe Heat needs new gm & coach? And they were healthy!
Not sure there are many same as, teams, and healthy that have gone from the finals to a sweep in first round the next season?

Don't you diss Stavvy Baby
What not? I don't like the word bitch unless it's a female dog, I don't like men who think comparing men to women is the worst possible insult and I don't respect boastful men I could knock flat when they are half my age and twice my size.

I tell you what…

Dillon Brooks looks like he was born with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome but dude can ball and brings great intensity.
GMs need to look at guys like him and Pritchard. Both really tough players who were not afraid of taking shots in the big moments. Both clearly the most valuable player to their conference champion team.

Without a doubt. I think competitive instinct should be weighed more.

Like a guy like Norm Powell. I remember him in college. Very good in transition and defense. Needed a lot of things to improve upon but had a swagger/hunger and basketball instincts that aren’t matched by many.

Tape measures and metrics don’t always tell the whole story

Jazz-Grizz game looked like it was going to be a nail bitter, instead the jazz put the nail in the coffin.

I'm feeling good about Grizzlies. I'm enjoying watching them play. They'll win Game 4 and the pressure will be on Utah. Similar to our series.

Unlike you most of us here are Blazer fans. So yes, we’re homers.
A fan is someone who is emotionally attached to a team and feels great if they win and bad if they lose. A homer is an idiot who can't see reality. Let's keep the two distinct.

An idiot? Man, that’s a bit over the top. What do you call the fans who are the opposite of homers? They see themselves as “realists”, but they always see the grass as greener elsewhere, they see their views of the NBA as laughably better than experienced NBA coaches and GMs, and view any fan comments about the impact of injuries as “excuse-making”. That doesn’t seem to be too well attached to reality to me.

Damn. That's a rough look for Jimmy Butler. Their bubble run brought him a lot of praise that the rest of his career didn't reflect.

Grizzlies folding down the stretch

they are in their first playoffs and are the number 8 seed playing the number 1 seed, and the number 1 seed is getting healthy again. Their starting lineup averages 23 years of age, and their bench isn't any older or more experienced than the starters. I'm not sure any showing they have against the Jazz would be "folding", short of having a 3-1 lead and losing

I really really wanted the Blazers to grab both Dillon Brooks and Chris Boucher off of that Ducks team in 2017. Of course, I'm biased because I'm a UofO alum and a big Ducks fan. I knew Brooks was going to be a junkyard dog type of wing, and that's exactly what Portland has needed for a long time. A Swiss-army-knife kind of player. He needs to spend an entire off-season working on his perimeter shot. Right now he's 3&D with the emphasis on D; he needs to upgrade his 3. And Boucher is like the perfect C/PF for the modern NBA. Per36 he averaged 20 & 10 with 3 blocks while shooting 38% from three on 6 attempts a game

that 2017 draft had a ton of golden opportunities for Portland. It could have dramatically altered their trajectory. Biggest collection of missed opportunities since the pairing of Dame & Giannis was within the Blazers' reach
