Talk on NBA twitter/reddit about Derozan and Murray being on the move after they deleted and unfollowed everything Spurs related on social.

To MIA is the speculation. Murray can't be moved for a while.

I'm interested in neither, but this could give some indication to Aldridge's availability

Interesting what would MIA have that the spurs would want?

Winslow? In a trade for DeRozan, I don't think Spurs can expect to do any better than Winslow and expirings (and that would be overpay for DeRozan). Maybe Dragic would be interesting.

Murray can't be traded until February though.

Murray has one of those poison pill contracts this year. It's almost impossible to trade him to a team that is hard capped or over the cap at all.

He's not going anywhere this year.

What's funny for Miami is they only have one 2nd round pick in 2022 that they can legally trade because you can only trade draft picks this season through 2026. That leaves them with very little assets to get deals done.

That's weird if true - Murray is their only bright prospect.

Good point about Miami being hard capped. Impossible for them to get Murray as he counts as $3m or so outgoing salary but $15m incoming for Miami. They'd need to find a third team to take on one of their bigger deals.

I think Orlando may be more likely here. They don't have cap space either though so would have to send someone like Fournier somewhere else, and I'm not sure how many teams in NBA actually have cap space to take on contracts now. Atlanta?

The speculation with Murray is that he is upset he got benched for White.

Someone in the starting lineup said they were more comfortable with White. Murray recently unfollowed LMA and deleted his photo with LMA, so there's probably something going on there.

Lol love NBA Twitter drama. Why they would placate Aldridge over Murray is baffling to me

What Nick Nurse is doing in Toronto without Kawhi and Green is VERY impressive. That is a real coach right there.

Not only without Kawhi and Green, Lowry and Ibaka have been out most of the season so far.

Raptors held Embiid to ZERO points last night!

I don’t blame Spurs at all with Murray. I never seen the big deal with him he’s really overrated. Yes he’s nice defensively but his offense is trash. I can see Spurs wanting to sell high on him before the word is out he’s really not that good.

I didn't watch the Mavs-Clippers game, but this supports my comments a few days ago that teams have been playing Doncic wrong:

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...-clippers-offense-work-progress-defense-scary

Admittedly, few teams have dual wing defensive monsters like Kawhi and George, but they played him physical and apparently took the fun out of his free-wheeling game. If it weren't for FT's, Doncic's stat line would have been of the nightmarish variety.

We'll see if other teams succeed at playing him physically without getting in foul trouble, but the blue print has clearly been set.

Yo did you guys hear about possible Spurs trade?? DeRozen and Murray have unfollowed Spurs and taken down all their Spurs photos. Apparently, there is a good chance DeMar is going back to Toronto which I think would be sweet. Magic may also be involved.

Back to Toronto?
