yeah mpj has a nice shot but I worry about his back. he just downed another one too. denver is stacked

If you're declining a player on their rookie scale contract you're basically saying they aren't even worth a roster spot NOW. I don't know the last player who has had their rookie TO declined and ended up re-signing with the team, but it is probably super rare.
It does happen but it also makes the player's trade value pretty poor since it ruins their bird rights.

Off the top of my head I know Korkmaz on the 76ers was re-signed this last summer after not having his option picked up.

I don't think his body is ever going to be right. Pass.

That's just it. His option isn't being picked up for lack of ability in my opinion as it seems more to do with his inability to stay healthy. Seems to be more under the covers than what we know. I liked Giles coming out of college and would have been okay with taking a flier on him in the later part of the first round, but it appears the pick was high risk with now limited reward.

A few observations so far this season:

  • Pelicans have a lot of talent, their 1-4 record is worse than their performance have deserved so far but expected for a team that haven’t played with each other. Ball and especially Ingram showing lots of quality outside LA. Ingram will be a stud.
  • As I expected, and unfortunately couldn’t bet, Indiana are a lot worse than last season. They lost many good pieces and aside from Brogdon did not recruit well.
  • Miami are the best in the league at talent evaluation. All their draft picks from recent years are doing very well - Winslow and Adebayo have been awesome, Herro already looks a great pick. No idea how they pulled Nunn out of the hat. Very solid deep team, could be a handful in the playoffs.

I agree with bullet points two and three, I've watched three New Orleans games and our opinions on them could not be much different. Just opinions though. Also on point three, I think the Spurs are pretty close.

Dame now has a real shot for a starting spot in the All Star game and maybe he makes 1st All Team again
Curry will STILL get more fan votes than Dame is the sad thing.

Ridiculous performance from Brooklyn in first quarter. Ten turnovers, Kyrie having some sort of meltdown and refusing to shoot and attempting dumb passes all quarter (had 1 FG attempt in 9 minutes).

I think Pelicans will be good. They need a center though, Favors is actually preventing them from playing basketball the way they should play it. He was out last night and they played great.

Watching this Bucks vs Magic game. Bucks aren't looking great so far, but that team is LOADED. They are deep with talent.

Kyrie the kind of guy Thats super fun to be around when things are good but the moment they go bad he just shuts down and becomes the biggest dick.

Had a great second quarter scoring wise. Don’t get why he was constantly trying those dumb passes in first.

probably heard some noise that he was taking too many shots and the Nets have been losing. His usage is absurdly high right now. So dude comes out and takes no shots in the first while they go down. Then he dominates the shots in the second and goes “see? Not my fault. I need to take these shots to win.”

totally a guess, but seems like something Kyrie would do to try and prove a point.

Seems he’s doing another act in third quarter by just giving away the ball and hiding. They’ll be down by 15 in 5 minutes.

Seems like you’re wrong lol.

With curry out I fear Doncic will get that PG all nba 1st team

Hate to say it but this Blazers won’t beat the Lakers. They look good with AD and James

Refs totally blew/missed Dwight Howard holding onto Seth Curry while his man Danny Green hit the game tying shot at the buzzer.

HOWEVER, I never understand the defense some teams play when they're up by 3 points and the other team has one shot to tie. What in the hell is Maxi Kleber doing trying to defend LBJ as he dribbles to the hoop (then passes to an open Green)???
The Lakers had Dwight Howard, Unibrow, James, Green and Avery Bradley on the court. The two guys you DO NOT want shooting the ball are Green and James. You don't even have to defend Howard.
It's 5 on 4 and somehow Dallas let Green get open for a corner 3-pointer. Ridiculous.
The Lakers had no timeouts left so nobody should have been defending the hoop, yet there were two Mavericks standing next to Lebron under the hoop when Green hit the 3-pointer.
