Jazz lost to the Kings. Nice.
Rudy Gobert really blew it.
With 5 seconds left and the Kings down by 1 point, Fox kicked out to the left corner for a 3 and for some reason Gobert ran in that direction even though he was never going to make it and the shooter already had a defender on him.
Then, instead of running back to the hoop, he stood outside the key while Harrison Barnes ran down the lane and put back the missed shot. Utah did have 2.9 seconds to score in the halfcourt, but Mitchell missed his shot at the buzzer, for some reason he took a 3-pointer even though they were down by 1 point.

Hate to say it but this Blazers won’t beat the Lakers. They look good with AD and James

Based on needing overtime to beat Dallas, who we just beat in regulation? That Laker team has serious flaws - only a brain-dead defensive effort on the final play of regulation by Dallas saved LA.

That team has never been good in close games. Thats why we always here "Their point differential says they should have a better record than they do".

probably heard some noise that he was taking too many shots and the Nets have been losing. His usage is absurdly high right now. So dude comes out and takes no shots in the first while they go down. Then he dominates the shots in the second and goes “see? Not my fault. I need to take these shots to win.”

totally a guess, but seems like something Kyrie would do to try and prove a point.
Kobe Bryant in Game 7 vs Suns

I hate how smooth Michael Porter looks for Denver. In 2-3 years if he finally stays healthy he will be a force.
Can he get into the paint off more than straight line drives? I can't remember the least all-star wing who couldnt pass, defend at a high level, or only get to the rim off straight line drives.

Finished the game with zero points off zero attempts, 4 boards, 2 assists, 2 turnovers and fouls in 11 minutes. Seems like he's done there.
Still timid.

fultz looked great.

Meyers still looks fucking lost. Lmao.
The only player I've ever seen who is more timid at taking the 3-point shot than Batum.

That's why I said 2-3 years. He has not played a lot of basketball in the last few years, but I can now see why he was so hyped after his junior year in HS. He obviously needs to keep getting better and stronger, but he seems to be a good pick at #14. I see him more as a Gallinari type of player

Harden is a guard though. I dont think Doncic will be classified as one.

so what position do you consider Doncic playing? He sure seems to be running the offense for them and handling the ball the majority of time.

Powell
Porzingas
Finney- Smith
Curry
Doncic

one of those is the point guard

NBA.com has him listed as G-F

well I was trying to gauge where the NBA would put Doncic on an ASG ballot, so...

Seems he should be listed as a guard as they don't differentiate between shooting guard and point guard. That would make the most sense, but he is the point guard right now in their starting lineup.

Point Forward.

huh? why isn't he considered a point guard?

Seth Curry not a point guard
Finney-Smith not a point guard
Powell definitely not a point guard
Porzingas definitely not a point guard.

He brings the ball up majority of the time, initiates the offense most of the time and sets all the other players up in the offense. Sure sounds like a point guard to me. Height doesn't determine a position as Magic was a point guard as well.

Well there's a reason it's been called the era of positionless basketball.

and I have never bought into that completely either. When they say positoneless I look at it as more like they are trying to reduce it to 2 positions, wings and interior players, but somebody runs the offense which is the duty of the point guard. What position does Lillard play? positionless? and if it's truly a positionless league then why do they list the all star ballots as guards and forwards?

He’s not a traditional PG though, he plays off the ball here and there, he seeks out his own offense more than PG’s did 15 years ago.
