Re: Why is Dame "considering the three point contest?"

Damian Lillard ‏@Dame_Lillard 1m
In all 5 events at this year’s @NBAAllStar weekend!

I love that he gets to be THE gimmick of all star weekend. Will definitely make me pay more attention. Excited about the thought of the league pushing one of our guys as an up and coming star.

it is going to be cool to have our guy represented in every event. I hope the media doesn't gloss over it because he's in a small market... if it was Griffin or someone else it'd be all over the place... I hope that's the case for Lillard as well.

SO, I gotta find a place to watch all this stuff... Anyone got a house to watch it at for 4 days?

Watching Blake try to do the skills challenge would be interesting, but the only guys who can do all five events are rookies and sophomores, so it could be a long time before someone else does it.

I think Team Hill is going to kick the shit out of Team Webber.

It'll be nice once the all-star week ends and they're once again playing games so he can get some rest.

Kind of nervous about him in the dunk contest - he can certainly get up, but compared to some of the other guys I'm not so sure.

But why not, you only live once.

Re: Why is Dame "considering the three point contest?"

Putting him in all five events sure seems like the league is setting him up to be a major face of the Association going forward.

That's because he's going to sign with the L*kers as soon as he becomes a free agent.

What does everyone think of my Mixum impersonation?

I don't know man... he showed some pretty impressive hops in this video.

I can't see him making it out of first round but its still cool to get in every event. Who knows he could surprise us

Eh, I think he'll make a couple cool dunks and that will be it. I honestly don't care that much if he wins. I just think it says a lot that he's the first ever to compete in all five events.

Nice hops, but nothing that we haven't seen before in a dunk contest.

There's barely anything that hasn't been done. And lately, when players try to be unique, it's just some gimmick and it sucks.

Yeah, I don't think he'll be able to compete against George or Ross. He has decent hops for a guy his size, but nothing like a Steve Francis and that's what you would need to really compete in the dunk contest.

Who knows though... maybe he'll come up with something new that will wow everyone.

Re: Why is Dame "considering the three point contest?"

MIXUM would never put an asterisk in Lakers.

Excellent point. However, my fake trolling can only go so far. I refuse to write the name of the Piss & Purple.

Adidas will bring out a pallet of shoes for him to dunk over.

Book it.
