Adidas will bring out a pallet of shoes for him to dunk over.

Book it.

They should just bring in the giAnt shoe they have in front of their adidas building on Greeley.

It's the Sprite dunk contest, so he will put on a giant Sprite bottle costume and dunk it.

NBA All-Stars Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Joe Johnson of the Brooklyn Nets, Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers and Kevin Love of the Minnesota Timberwolves headline the field of participants for the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest (#FootLockerThree) taking place during State Farm® All-Star Saturday Night (#StateFarmSaturday) at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on Saturday, Feb. 15. The Washington Wizards' Bradley Beal, who will also be participating in the BBVA Compass Rising Stars challenge, Marco Belinelli of the San Antonio Spurs and Arron Afflalo of the Orlando Magic complete the field.

Going up against Curry. That's going to be stiff competition. Love is a fucking joke.

I heard that there will be a new wrinkle in the dunk contest: Roy Hibbert will defend the key, and a ref will stand there not calling fouls. No wonder Lillard got picked!

Lillard should down a Sprite, then dunk over Grant Hill.

There's lots of material to come up with something.

This is the best 3pt contest yet-

Lets see if this one can top this.

It would be a better contest with LeBron James in it, though. George, Wall, and Lillard aren't viewed by the casual fan as top-tier superstars. LeBron had a few dunks last night that were just awesome to see.

Yeah, you know I kind of getting the feeling that they put Dame in because they like to have a smaller guy in the competition. The Spud Webb of the contest.

As good as he is for a smaller guy, he doesn't have the hops of a George or a Ross. Either way, it will be interesting. Rudy was pretty damn good but he didn't get any love.

5 events is amazing. Because no one does it. Because it's stupid. Because not concentrating on one or two events, distracts and diffuses energy and makes a player do worse.

But it's the first and last time, so I'll watch and enjoy this odd monstrosity.

It'd be a rare player to do all five events, because you have to be a rook or soph and an all star. That narrows it down. Then you have to hit threes and be a point guard that can dunk. Despite his snark, jlprk is right; this probably won't happen again.

Snark? Hmm..the Urban Dictionary..hey, it means "truth." Thanks!

Wait, that was sharp..let's see...

This will be fun. Dumb, but fun. Most things fun are dumb. So this is ordinary fun.

I give myself permission to have fun. Alright! Rrrrrrrrip City!

That's why there about 30 of us here who actively post. The lurkers who never post get their amusement from our dumb posts, and some of them are in the media.

There are 2 sides to this great debate.

1. Playing in 5 events exhausts, distracts, diffuses energy, and makes a player do worse.

2. Don't lay all your eggs in one basket. Diversify your portfolio. This raises the odds he'll win an event.

My prediction: Getting 5 chances will make him do worse overall, but sheer randomness ensures he will win at least 1 out of 5. Well, in the 2 full-team games, I mean "gets excellent stats," not "wins."

Did you just accuse me of feeding article ideas to Canzano?

The "West vs East" dunk contest has no individual winner...............

..............really? Lillard has to be part of the winning team rather than win it all by himself?

After he wins MVP on Sunday, will he have the energy Wednesday for the clutch winning shot against the Spurs?

Will his fatigue cost us a win?

MVP winner on Friday and Sunday, 2x Skills champ, dunk TEAM (aka bullshit) winner, and shootout champ on Saturday? Man, that'll be sweet.

I guess it's 30. It was more. We can get the media to post by criticizing them.

One thing for sure, Lillards agent is doing a great job with his career so far. Most ink I've seen in the media for a Blazer maybe ever! This was a career, swagger move for Dame and I hope it carries him to the finish line with some momentum.

Saving the Spurs for LaMarcus, that's why he didn't join the skills and 3pt contest and let Dame do them all.
