I know it was a mistake, but seeing Chutney and the ranking # 6 next to his name literally had me like

There was no way Chutney should have been ranked lower then 2nd, and Smitty is ranked too low (7th) for a guy who made it to the Semis.

But whatever, the battles are going to be good either way.
 
Also, I know we've decided 16 bars as the max but I do my bars like this:

So in total, my verses are liable to having 32 bars max. I know Iggy and AF said ok to what I said before, but is this okay with everyone else? Each one of my verses isn't going to be 32 bars obviously...I usually just round out my verse - i.e - if it looks too long/crowded, I edit some lines out because it's obvious the voters aren't gonna read the whole thing and just skim through it.

So 32 LINES max, and 16 bars max...bars can be split into 2, but you can do it either way you want. Minimum has to be atleast 8 bars.

Wait, since we have 4 judges (I believe), what happens in the case of a tie breaker? Popular vote? Or do the judges rediscuss the battle and revote?

A bar is equivalent to two lines. So how most people keystyle they have a line then the second line rhymes with the first, then both those lines combine to make a bar. Thats why the maximum is 32 lines, or 16 bars which is the equivalent. Junoon/Karma's lines with the cat with the bat would be a bar.

lol, I'm no professional or anything. I just measure my verses by the number of lines.

y'all are getting way too precise with the bars/lines crap..
why don't you just say it can't be more than 16 lines long?
If youre lines are so long that they spill over the edge of the margin, then you only do 8 lines. if your lines are short like that cat in the hat line, you do 16.....
 
A bar is not 4 lines phun......

I say we set it to 20 lines (20 bars)

one bar is one line,lol, I've been trying to tell yall that.....

20 lines isn't, I say we do a maximum of 20 and a minimum of 16.

I like that as a maximum. There's no reason to put a minimum, though. If a person doesn't think he needs any more lines or can't think of any more, that should be on them.

A bar ain't 4 lines man. I think I know what your thinking though. Cause I used to be in piano, and in most songs a bar is 4 beats not lines. Thats why I think a bar is 2 lines, cause in most hip hop songs it takes 2 beats to do 1 line.
