I always call him Jeramiah when saying his name out loud. Not sure why, it's just stuck in my head like that for some reason. It would instill a lot more confidence in me that we are keeping Grant past the trade deadline if the people insisting that this is a fact knew that his first name is Jerami.
maybe he was a bullfrog...I always call him Jeramiah when saying his name out loud. Not sure why, it's just stuck in my head like that for some reason.

I wouldn’t move Grant unless he wants to be moved. He’s a good dude, he’s from PDX and you need solid vets. Not everyone has to be the same age.
I hope Jerami raises his new child in Portland and sticks with the Blazers. He'll be 33 in 5 years when his deal is up. I don't think with the cap a lot of teams are going to look to overpay for him either. You need some vets. He doesn't seem to get bothered about his role or his minutes so he's a perfect vet. We finally have some depth at PF so we don't need to play him into the ground. Keep him fresher for playoff runs. I can't remember this much balance or depth on the Blazers in ages.
to say he's "from PDX" is laughable. Especially considering you're the one who always does the "He Is UnToUcHaBlE" cracks.
He lived here for 2 years. That's like me saying my sister who was born in Texas and lived there for 18 months before my parents moved to Portland, is a "Texan".
she a Texan, FAMS!
That actually sounds like a healthy Zach Collins. Man, that one set us back.
I didn't even know who the fuck Devin Vassell was until this extension announcement dropped lol.Jerami’s deal is only $15-25m more than Devin Vassell’s new extension. The difference in salary this year is $4m. I’d argue Jerami is more than $4m better than Vassell at this moment in time.
Zach is not a PF. He had major foul trouble in Portland and that was from trying to defend PF's. He doesn't have the speed and he got caught reaching and grabbing constantly. He was best when playing with Ed Davis, but what I saw in that pairing was that Davis was guarding PF's as much, if not more, than Zach
Gregg Popovich recognized this reality and Zach has played almost exclusively at C for the Spurs. He's listed at 250 pounds now; when he was drafted he was 230 pounds. He's bulked up a little which is better for playing C. Not sure how good it is for his injury-magnetism; in San Antonio he has played 91 games and missed 71. Of course, he arrived there injured so maybe that's not a good gauge
Teams cycle and churn and burn and turnover. Young kids need vets. Can we not keep a vet or two? I like Grant. You need some semblance of balance, youth and wily vets.
I mean, you get a ridiculous offer, you have to take it. But let’s be smart about it.
My first thought was Star Trek.I didn't even know who the fuck Devin Vassell was until this extension announcement dropped lol.
where's the picks? 3 way deal? Can't do a Cronin trade unless there's rookies to choose in the Blazers future.
What do we think?
I think they want another star, not Brogdon and Grant.
What do we think?
Given what just happened to KOJr, maybe they want a player more now than before…I think they want another star, not Brogdon and Grant.
Yeah, I could see them giving us a two FRPs and salary filler in which there is talent for Malcolm and we could see it tomorrow. Who fits better next to Maxey in a back court? Who is better setting up either Embiid or Maxey, scoring open threes when playing off them and defending at an all nba level?Given what just happened to KOJr, maybe they want a player more now than before…
What do we think?
Trouble is, their trade chips are the players they got from the Clippers and (a) they can't be traded for a while, and (b) they're Batum, Marcus Morris and Robert Covington. Now, granted they're all on 1 yr contracts, so it would clear a lot of cap space for us, but I think Philly would actually rather have that cap space coming up than Grant and Brogdon.Given what just happened to KOJr, maybe they want a player more now than before…
