It is on AV for keep playing him. Move him to 4th line and bring Moore up to 3rd with Hayes and Hags. Moore helped Hayes. Let MLS play with Glass and Sheppard. 4th line sucked anyway.

I agree strud.

Man I feel empty today. Finally watched a little of the post game show, refused to last night, and those guys were so down on TV, and I get it. They were kind of beside themselves that we let game 5 happen again, and again didn't test Bishop at all really. Said many times how we don't have many Rangers highlights or even close calls. That is sad.

I feel empty today and I am sure I will for a few weeks at least. Really sucks that this could have been the year. Now you wonder will we ever see another cup in our lives. 94 was the greatest sports moment of my life, and I wonder if I will see it again...

Yeah, move Moore up. Mr. -7 (2nd worst on the team after Staal's -8) with 1 goal in the playoffs, that's the answer. Mr. I was on for both TB goals last night. Just stop 2009...please.

I have a big issue with AV keeping MSL on the PP. I had a big issue with AV keeping MSL on the 1st line, until he finally made the switch to move Miller up and MSL down. I have no issue with keeping MSL on the 3rd line given the choices he had. If anyone moved up I would have tried Sheppard, but that was never going to happen.

I see a HUGE difference between Miller/Kreider and MIlrath. First almost every fan was begging them to play JT/CK. Second we all knew those guys had clear NHL skills (especially CK). McIlrath cannot skate at an NHL level. Many people have said that. Strud said it after being at the game the other night. I really don't see much similar between CK/JT and McIlrath.

Your top players have to perform to win a cup. You can't move role players up to top 6 roles and expect production.

If we had the St Louis of 2 years ago we are prob talking about the Finals matchup

All you can do is laugh when you see 2009, who gave up on the team 125 times this season now saying it is on AV and ONLY AV...that is funny sh*t.

AV has been here two seasons and we went to the SCF and ECF...yes the man must be fired right now 2009...you are a funny dude.

No, we should have moved Dom Moore up, that would solve all the issues.

Outside of MSL on the PP I don't get on AV. I posted it earlier today, go look at the forwards # in the playoffs, they couldn't score. On and on 1, 2, 3 goals. Hayes and Hags nothing after Pitt. Moore 1 goal. MSL 1 goal. On and on. Boyle # 5 and Yandle # 4 scorers in the playoffs, says a lot.

That is not on AV.

Oh and side note on McIlrath...we lost game 5 and game 7 both 2-0...I think O was the issue not D, so how is pulling our # 5 playoff scorer out in favor of McIlrath going to solve that. Funny stuff today.

The following is a list of the Rangers restricted free agents this summer and the price range that The Hockey News offseason preview thinks they will fall into:

They left Fast off, but he should be back for sure. Also think Miller will be around 2 not 3. And Step 5 to 6 seems fair.

But if Hags gets close to 4 I will go get him now and take him to the airport so he can fly to his next team. Anything more than 3 +/- and no shot I bring Hags back. And even at 3 I think about it long and hard. Rather have MSL at 1.5-1.7 than Hags at 3 mill.

Hmmmm. Really like Hags speed but he was pretty invisible after the OT winner vs Pitt.

No way I am giving Hags that kind of money they are predicting. Stepan, I can see Sather giving him 5.5 tops. J.T is not getting close to what they are predicting.

Invisible...ZERO goals after the game 5 winner against Pitt. I give him no more than 3 mill per...tops. He wants more we need to let him walk.

Step in the 5's is very fair.

And Miller I think will be around 1.8-2 mill per +/-. He should be an easy 15 goal guy next season, and maybe a few more. His cap hit was a little over 1 mill this season, so I see a little raise to 1.8-2 or so, and that is fair on his next deal.

I think Hags will take 3 million two year contract. He is too close with Zucc...
J.T. still has something to prove. Earn it next season by getting at least 40 points.

Teams consistently overpay for players like Hagelin. I'd keep him for the right price. However, you might get a 20-30 first and a good prospect for him. Hagelin is well thought of around the league.

We all do Chuck, the season ended too early.. This was their year with all that resiliency and the OT winners... Very disappointing. Personally I don't care what this team does in the offseason because nothing ever is enough

I doubt you can get that for him considering he is a RFA and can sign anywhere if he wants, but I agree on the overall point dump. We cannot overpay for Hags, and I like him. He is a nice 17 goal and 35 point guy, but 3 mill is the max we can afford to pay him. If he wants more then no way would I keep him. Hags will be very interesting this summer. Wonder how it will play out with him.

Miller I can see 1.7-2 mill on a deal depending on the length. I think he can score 16 or so goals and 30-35 or so points next season, and play a more physical type of game. Well worth the cap hit.

If you don't care what they do in the off-seas0n, you're a moron. This off-season is huge. To me, they are a team stuck in the middle of being a skilled team and a physical team. They need to commit to one and go in that direction.

He can't sign anywhere he wants. He can only sign with the Rangers as long as they match. Teams aren't going to give up a ton of draft picks for the money it will take to sign him away from the Rangers. Over 3,364,000 and they get a 1st and 3rd. He's get over that if a team signs him as a UFA. Let him walk. The odds of them getting a first is pretty much a lock because there is no way he's not getting that money on an offer sheet. Basically, there might be one team out there sitting at 25 to 30 in the draft that figures Hagelin is worth a first rounder that might take 4 years to make the NHL if he isn't a bust.

Yea but there is 1 open starting spot, a 7th Dman...

McIllrath should be in the mix next season

Who do they fill that 1 spot with? MSL? Stewart? Williams?

Who are they going to trade.... Glass? Boyle?

Same old crap dump, team consistently disappoints

My plan is simple.

Bring Hags OR MSL back (cheap). Resign the other RFA's. Add a righty top 9 winger with fire and grit. Deal Talbot. Maybe buy Boyle out (I could go either way on this one). Away we go.

That simple to me.

As long as they match, Rangers might not match is my point. Let's see what type of compensation they tie to Hags, that will be interesting. Around 3 I am in, more than that you cannot bring him back IMO.

Boyle played ok... Rough at times but had 10 points in 19 games. Not bad for a 6th dman.. However at 4.5 mil he's not worth it... Just look at TB playing Sustr and Nesterov.. They need more offense in the playoffs.. I don't think Justin Williams will be the answer

I am honestly fine with whichever way they go with Boyle. For one more season I am good if he is here. And if not I am fine with that also.

Like I said, I keep it simple. I don't think this is a major need offseason. I think it is a tweak some things offseason. MSL gone or greatly reduced. Top 9 righty to replace him or Hags. Resign RFA's. A few other minor things as I said. Nothing crazy. Let the kids grow off this season, JT, KH, CK, JF.

That guy is freaking clutch though. I'd take Glass sent packing, Williams on board, Lindberg on the 4th line and perhaps one big deal to change the unit up front some. Though I'd rather get a player in their mid 20's.

What I lke about Williams is a righty shot, which we need badly. What I don't love is he turns 34 in Oct. I can live with that as a win now team, but I also don't see how we afford him. I think we can let Hags or MSL go and deal Talbot, which means maybe we can afford a 4 mill player in this spot +/-, but Williams has to get more than that off 18 goals and 41 points. I bet he gets 5 per from someone. He is an older more clutch Cally who got 6 mill per.

Like Williams, he would be a fit, just don't see how we afford him.

I like Williams a lot too but I just feel he expended his clutch\playoff ways...I could be wrong. I was calling for the Rangers to sign him when he left CAR, lol too bad ESPN message boards went defunct

4 years 4.5 per maybe... Term is too long but he'll be looking for 3-5 years.... Seems like a California surfer bro so I'm sure he wants to be back and the Kings we'll want to keep him

Williams has won 3 cups has scored 30 post season goals including 7 in G7s and is 7-0 in game 7s in his career

For a 3rd line player good luck finding a more clutch performer and it's not like he's 38 hes only 33
