Sorry, not trying to be a dick or anything, but your a staff member moderator and I see you all over the threads and you don't know this? Maybe I was missing some cynicality?

Its just that sometimes I see the same thing repeated over and over in many threads as if someone forgets what they just read in a previous thread. Not saying this is you, but I see it happen a lot. Makes it tougher to actually sort through the repetitive to get the latest and greatest posts. :)
Yeah, it was a dumb post on my end lol just curious because of the blockbuster deal tweet I saw. I figured it was impossible lol (but hey, it's the NBA.. Where Loopholes happen)

Steve Kyler said he talked to eight execs who say Upshaw's "issues" are so bad that he's undraftable.

Upshaw isn't even shown as being drafted on NBADraft.net. #37 on DraftExpress.com. He averaged 4.5 blocks and 8.2 rebounds in just about 25 minutes per game at Washington. He has a wingspan of 7'5.5", and a standing reach of 9'5". That's a ton of potential there. Makes you wonder what the 'issues' could be to make everyone pass.

His stats are good, but from what i saw of him on the draftexpress video, I dont think he is going to make it as an NBA player (personal issues aside).

He basically got by from being significantly bigger than anyone else. He doesn't have a shooting touch, or foot work. His perimeter defense is poor. When watching his clips, I kept thinking - I dont see him doing anything better than Thabeet did.

Without the drug issues, I maybe could justify a late first round pick.... but he should be a mid second round or undrafted player.

This also make me upset that we didnt pick up a late round pjck in the last few drafts. I was praying the Blazers would pick Gobert & the Capella kid that Houston has (hes going to be good).

In the "head scratcher" department: Cavs supposedly want to move the 24th pick for a vet guard, but they want the other team to also take on Haywood's contract.

Haywoods contract is attractive.

Interesting take here from Steve Kyler. He believes that if Jarell Martin is still available, either Dallas or Portland will be grabbing him.

Earlier we heard that Jarrell Martin may have a mid-first round promise. Since he passed on his workout for the Wizards, it's suspected the promise is before #19.

That study looks VERY suspicious. All those Kentucky players bunched together? (Andrew Harrison just outside the top 20?) Arizona gets THREE players in the top 20? Seems to me it's rewarding styles of play of college teams somehow. (And, of course, it doesn't know how to deal with international players.)

It does seem to reward players on good teams.

Being that Kentucky only lost once I'd say Dekari's numbers are a bit skewed.

Ainge is trying to trade up, per usual, and his target: Myles Turner.

In just a few days is the draft and here are the players that have been directly linked to Portland from various NBA writers:

Steve Kyler: Jarrell Martin, Rashad Vaughn.

Jake Fischer: Kristaps Porzingis

Isn't KP a PF? If we move up for him, does that signal that LA has decided to walk and he gave Neil the heads up beforehand?

Great. Let's just start the rebuild now. Deal Batum for Haywood and 24, draft a PG and a SF (say, Grant and Anderson), renounce all our FAs, waive Haywood, and spend judiciously on undervalued free agents (Wright, Crowder, Davis, etc). Complete makeover, with Dame as our leading man, and a young stable of perimeter players (Grant, CJ, Crabbe, Anderson, Meyers) as his support staff. Can you smell that 2020 title?

DX just updated their mock: Kevon Looney.

Christian Wood is dropping like a rock.

Watching the playoffs revealed just how poor our players are at setting screens. Guys like Draymond/Bogut/Gasol/Mozgov/etc etc etc just leveled their opponents with bone jarring screens (ya some of the moving variety), while our big men just did some half ass shit that got no one open.

Perhaps we can address this need in the draft???

Jonathan Holmes of Texas sets monster screens. He really throws his body around.

Porzingis is working out for the Knicks right now.

Interesting.

His agent said he wouldn't workout after his Vegas showcase. He met with the Lakers and Magic but didn't workout.

It's a clandestine workout with the Blazers in attendance because the Knicks want Batum. Batum + 23 for #4 + Calderon's contract and filler. :biglaugh:

If we do get #4, I hope it isn't for Porzi

Twitter is active right now.

RUMOR: player(s)/#8 pick for player(s)/#4 pick

NY media is all over this.

Detroit wants Mario or Justise.

Satnam Singh is working out in Portland today.
I'm assuming he's Indian?
Has there been an Indian NBA player yet?
We could have an entire sub-continent as Blazers fans! Not quite like having all of China, but pretty dang close!

7'2" 290 lbs and has the weirdest short stride run I've seen from an athlete.

But he's not slow motion like Bhullar. The skill level isn't there though. I'd say in that regard he's Ha Seung Jin.

Willy Cauley-Stein's ankle could make him drop. Maintenance is a must and the pin was inserted incorrectly - needed to be at a 90 degree angle -- at 45 degree.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's red flagged. At his size, this will linger.
