Did he beat OKC with those 3 Ft's? Just wondering. Let me know. I'm sure it was a good result, right?

I think Love is a very good player. One a 31-11 team, though, he wouldn't be putting up the numbers he is now. He's proven that his huge numbers don't lead to the playoffs, and eventually the Wolves need to either get a #1, or they'll see Love leave. Can't he opt out after next year?

I guess they should have just had the Blazers play the Pacers.

I guess the Wolves should make a playoff series with Love before mentioning this.

Again, in total, how many playoff series has Love been to with the Wolves? Ballpark? Let me know.

Sounds like people should be arguing over how stupid fans are

Still doesn't make Love better... that's the point I'm going on. Because he isn't.
Nobody said he was. The starting lineups are decided by popular vote, not by skill level, not by performance level, nor any other metric.

Do you think that there is anyone in this thread who doesn't already know this?

Similar, with Love getting the edge. And why are we using traditional FG%? TS% for Love is .562 and Aldrige is .535

Why do you root so hard for a guy who you KNOW is gonna roll out as soon as his contract is up? He has been on the team for 6 years and you have yet to see the playoffs. He hasn't helped you win at all and is going to leave because of the losing. But you want to parade out his stats like they mean much. Couple things:

1. No playoffs for you.

2. The future looks GRIM:

wow Kobe just indicated he might still sit out due to respect for his "peers"

Kobe has no business whatsoever playing in this game. He has played in SIX GAMES all year. He needs to do the right thing and step aside, but I'm sure he'll say something about "the fans wanting him there" or some bullshit. What a chode.

I think CP3 would have sat it out if he was voted in by the fans, but since he didn't make the cut I think he'll want to get on the team via the coaches. I wonder if the coaches will be reluctant to put him on until they know for sure that he'll be healthy.

I think you have it backwards Kobe did not want to be an all star he said to vote for people like Lillard. I do not believe that Kobe will play in the game it has been several years since Kobe would put himself above the needs of the league.

Kobe Bryant announces he will not play in AS game.

Good for him. I respect that decision, plus it makes Lillard almost a lock now.

Don't most players get paid more money if they get selected to an All-Star roster? Why would K*be or Paul opt out before being selected and securing the bonus payment?

The TNT guys brought up an interesting thing regarding the Western AS starters.

Durant/Griffin/Love/Curry/Bryant

vs.

Howard/LMA/Harden/Lillard/solid SF (Kawhi Leonard, let's say).

Which team would you take as your starters? Obviously the starters don't have a center, while the second unit would have to put more of a 'glue' all-star in the game by having Leonard named.

Bryant was already named. He gets the bonus regardless of if he plays or otherwise. Paul needs to be named, and to be named, he at least needs to pretend he'll be healthy enough to play, even if he scratches after being named because of a 'flare up,' or some other excuse that he could make right now.

Durant is probably the best player in that bunch... that's a tough one though. Dame and Harden would be pretty sick. Are we talking a healthy Kobe?

I like seeing Morey slightly seeming upset or whining about AS game process. Sorry you don't have a big chinese guy this year to swing a shit load of votes.

You would think so. It would take the coaches voting in Parker, Harden and a big (presumably Cousins) over Lillard + Stern (or Silver?) picking Anthony Davis over Lillard as Kobe's replacement. Unlikely, but stranger things have happened with Stern's selections (Chris Kaman, All-star!)

Yeah, assume all players are healthy.

Another thing they kicked around was Howard/LMA/Harden/Lillard/Paul, which misses a SF, but makes for an unbalanced line-up like the starters. They all picked the Howard/LMA team.

Let's assume that Harden starts in Bryant's spot. Even with Paul in the mix, I see Lillard and Paul as two obvious picks. I suppose Parker can sneak in there, but if the Rockets can have two players, then the Blazers certainly can, too. This year has proven that Pop is the best coach in the NBA. Guys go in and out of the line-up, yet he still wins a ton of games. In the case of the Spurs, I'm starting to think that outside of Duncan and his obvious greatness, it's more of a system approach that lends to the success of many of their players.

Let's assume that Harden starts in Bryant's spot.

Who starts in Kobe's place is up to the coach at the time of the game - doesn't really have anything to do with Lillard's chances. Who takes Kobe's spot on the team is up to the commish.

Even with Paul in the mix, I see Lillard and Paul as two obvious picks.

I don't see Lillard as an obvious pick over Tony Parker. Parker has been playing better than Lillard of late and the coaches might and probably will focus on voting for Parker as a (necessary) Spurs rep instead of Duncan.

As harped on in a couple other threads there is a chance the coaches could vote in 4 reserve guards, but as far as I was able to find that has never happened before.

wow this place went downhill since I left

PER: 27.2 (4th in League, 1st among Bigs)

Let's see... Love is a better scorer, rebounder, passer, can make 3s at a high rate (higher % than steph curry), isnt surrounded by any 3 pt shooters unlike LMA who is surrounded by 3 elite ones. They're about the same defensively (Love has a better D rating and DWS), LMA gives people more trouble 1 on 1 but isnt as good rotationally.

But it's KEvin Loves fault the wolves aren't winning. What happened to this place? Weren't there smart people? Nate Bishop is a retard. LOL

W/L record: 20-21 (16th among bigs)

Too easy.

since the coaches pick the reserves, I don't think 1 game will make a shit load of difference.
