Yeah, I wanted him to play as well because watching Summer League would have been more interesting. I spent $75 on a streaming package this month so I got most of the games. But from a development standpoint, the 4-5 games in Vegas means nothing.
I'll be watching just to see how many blocks Clingan gets, how he looks on the boards and if he can show anything other than Przybilla-esque cleanup offense. I would love to see Kris shooting the three with more confidence and therefore more consistency, it would be really cool given the roster if he really excelled on both ends of the court. Other than that Rayan will be interesting to see. Also interested to see what Cui (China) and Lee (South Korea) can bring; both coming from overseas leagues in Asia that haven't yet consistently turned out the talent that overseas leagues in Europe and Australia have.

does the Olympics have something to do with unknown kids in SL ? Did the country teams grab all the good youngsters??

Aren’t there members here from LV? Where y’all at?

Castle looking pretty good in his first summer league game.

This is what's important. I'm sure they have are scrimmaging with each other and getting reps in the system. The experience in SL games against guys trying to get two way contracts isn't nearly as important as our guys getting to know one another and getting some run together even if it's just in practice situations.

Surprised so many upset that Scoot isn’t playing summer league. If anything I think it’s a good sign that the franchise is confident what they have and aren’t risking their future superstar in a summer league games that will absolutely do nothing to make him better. They are literally 5 games playing against 80-90% of players who will never see NBA regular season minutes. Absolutely selfishly I would love to watch him play, but I’d be even more pissed if he got hurt playing against some guy trying to make a name for himself.

I swear Asian players hustle and play hard in every sport.

Demographically Asian players have yet to make a huge impact on American basketball. Outside of Yao Ming (to a lesser extent Jeremy Lin) we haven’t really seen any lights out superstar players in the league coming from Asia. Most overseas players are from a European country. But I’ll be damned if one day we don’t see somebody from an Asian country as a perineal All-Star.
