You could be correct that he over values his players? I think he like many GM's learn along the way that if you are wanting to better balance a roster chances are it will be necessary to maybe give up more that you really want. And the trade off hopefully is better overall productivity with an improved roster balance.
Ive always felt that we in Rip City covet our players more because of the high exclusivity the Blazers have here , other than the Timbers.
Neil's, responsible objective performance goals weighting certainly goes way up these next 12 months so time will tell just how good or bad of job he's done?
Im hoping that with the evolving of some of the youngsters coupled with the continued growth of Dame, and other core players, and a trade or two will help us take a next step.
You know, Im betting on Neil one of the top third gm's in the league, imo.
