We didn't get much activity yesterday on the voting, but that won't stop me from posting my thread. If you like the thread, then vote you lazy bastards!
Okay so today doesn't have much with effecting our team's position in the West. So I decided to just give it a go.
1.) Atlanta Hawks @ Indiana Pacers:
The Hawks are doing great as of late, without crowd support I might add. They've taken care of the ball and score inside and out. What impresses me the most is their defense lately... They can ball and they have an opportunity to be a top 5 team in the East (That's really not saying much). Root for Atlanta!
2.) Boston Celtics @ Washington Wiz:
Washington just lost @ Boston last night, so I expect them to have revenge at home. Rondo had just another day with a triple dub. Can he repeat his stellar playmaking, rebounding and defense tonight? Still, Boston has been doing much better as of late. They are winning games and giving their fans hope that the playoffs are within reach. I think I'm gonna root for the underdog on this game. Root for Boston!
3.) Cleveland Cavs @ Brooklyn:
So who really is the better Lopez? Brook is a fine player, but he isn't a type that can control the game like the other top tier bigs in the game. The problem with that is his defense is one of the worst for a starting big. If I were to bet, I would go "all in" with Robin. But I went on a rant, lets get back to this game. First, Brooklyn is just terrible. Their older players just don't have the goods to carry the team. They don't defend well to boot. The Cavs are on a tear, winning 6 straight. I don't see Brooklyn doing much to stop the Cavs, now that they are firing on all cylinders right now. But I gotta still root for the underdog. Root for the Nets!
4.) Denver Nuggets @ Toronto:
This game is a bit interesting... There are some posters that say "I don't worry about other teams, as long as the Blazers take care of business". That statement is all good, but given a choice, I would much rather have teams that are close to us lose. And since I like watching all games, I would like to have a better record than the Raptors. Root for Denver!
5.) Golden State Warriors @ Minny T-pups:
Golden State has had such an easy schedule and it doesn't get any easier than playing the Western Conference Worst "T-Pups". I don't see the T-pups have the firepower to defend and score against this high efficient Warriors team. Still you gotta hope that the Pups find their inner beast and pull out an upset. Root for the T-Pups!
6.) Utah Jazz @ Sacramento:
Such an unfortunate situation in SacTown with Boogie out for another 10 games with meningitis. GET WELL SOON BOOGIE! Still, the Kings have a decent supporting cast and they have the tools to take out Utah. I've really become a fan of the Kings, so I'm a little bias. I'm gonna root for SacTown!
7.) Phoenix Suns @ Loss Angeloss Clippers:
The Clips are on a 7 game win streak, while Phoenix just lost the last game. This is a game with two division teams, so expect the emotion factor to be high. The last thing the Clips want to do is lose and fall back even farther from the Warriors, while Phoenix has the pressure of OKC ready to surpass them. But in the end, there really doesn't need to be any other reason to hate the Clips, so this choice is pretty easy for me. Root for the Suns!
So there you have it, enjoy the games!
GO BLAZERS!
