The playoffs made one thing clear: Get this team a bench!

fuck

no draft pick or cap room

i think ill go eat some worms

I'm not sure if center isn't a need

Lopez was a disappointment

I don't know which one i would pick, but i think we need an upgrade at either SF or SG to be a legit contender (and obviously a bench)

plus we have no draft pick, come on guys, lets get emo

MLE is all we need to o add a savvy vet to guide the youngins.

This team doesn't need more young players anyway, it needs vets.

But Paul Allen loves the NBA draft. It wouldn't surprise me if we buy or trade for a pick in this year's deep draft.

Are you fucking kidding. He was a main reason they beat the Rockets!

Um lol? Is that why Dwight Howard had the series of his life?

Aldridge games 1 and 2

Clutch Lillard

Wesley's defense

Lopez is not good enough to get these many minutes. His post defense is bad and so is his rebounding.

For the money they spent, I think they got a pretty good deal ... which isn't the same as saying the center position is settled. I don't know what Olshey can do given his paucity of usable assets, but another big who isn't a total stiff that can play a bit of center would be a nice addition (no idea who that would be).

Tough loss but the thrashing of Houston made it all worth it. So much growth in both series. It made it clear as to what the management needs to improve on.

Spurs >>> Blazers >>> Rockets

Great Season for the Blazers. It was awesome to see them exceed every expectation that was set for them.

They just gotta come out stronger next season, fortify the bench and improve upon this year.

We have a great core of guys and if anything, this post-season was a big time learning experience for the team.

A salute to a group of hard-working, talented guys.

GO BLAZERS!

Lopez was our most consistent player in the regular season, but wasn't too impressive in the post season. But of course, he was trying to guard Howard in the 1st round.....and really no one looked good in round 2. I don't think we're going to get a major upgrade in the starting lineup. We will have the MLE to get one bench player. I think we should go after Patty Mills.

they overachieved this year, but if they dont go to the finals next year they suck /MM

I actually agree with RoyToy, wouldn't be surprised to see Patty revert back to his true self.

Damn nvm about Gary Neal

He picked it up as the season went on it looks like

I wouldn't trade any of the starters, unless it's for a better player. That is, I wouldn't trade for depth.

The team is going to have some flexibility to bring in a couple of quality players to extend the rotation.

Even if things look bad due to being capped, out, guys like DJ Augustin might become available for vet minimum. Just have to pull the trigger when the opportunity arises.

If we renounce our exceptions and Mo/Earl leave as expected, we will have about 7 mil in cap room that should be enough for a solid bench player.

Or two if we strike gold like PHX did this summer.

I'm trying to figure whether the Lopez we saw was just better than he appeared anywhere else or was just the perfect fit in personality and skillset for this team. I wouldn't call him a disappointment at all. That said, is there someone out there that does what he does and could do it better or do a few other things? If so, you always have to be open to a move. When you start falling in love with all your own players, you stop progressing. With LA on the team, the Blazers need a big, rim-protector, who fights on the boards and can set screens. However, he is a liability, IMO, on pick-and-roll defense, although he will attempt to contest the guard on occasions -- it's worth noting that I don't know whether he is being told to slough off the guards when the other teams P-n-R or it's just how he's comfortable playing it.

How much would they gain if they could somehow dump Wright?

The Spurs didn't miss a beat when Parker went down. Patty has had 3 good seasons for the Spurs. He's shot above 40% from 3pt range every year.

Other interesting unrestricted free agents that might be in our price range:e Lowery, Gortat, Bradley, Ridnour, Morrow, Sefolosha, Jordan Hill, McRoberts, Hawes, Turner

Sign 'em all. That's a decent bench.
