I think you go with Doug Fir. How many teams have some kind of cat for their mascot??? No one else has a Sasquatch.

I would suspect because the Sonics used Big Foot in the past, and since it's likely the franchise is returning, they'd probably argue they should have access to the character or any character of a similar style.

I was reading up a little more on Dundon.

I might have to abandon being a Trail Blazers fan. Just on principle, I don't think I could root for this guy and that means anything to do with this guy.

He gives me the ick.

I mentioned somewhere else that I was hopeful that the Blazers would have the same kind of benefit Dundon's NHL team has had under his ownership, but I read an article from an NHL writer that Dundon gets more credit than he deserves for that because a lot of the success is attributable to the Hurricanes' coach, who is working for considerably less than his peers but accepts it because he is happy where he lives and because he played for the Hurricanes.

Anyway, I just have issues with rich guys who get richer by treating poor people poorly, and it sounds like Dundon is one of these people he has no problem letting people know he works that way.

That doesn't feel right to me. I'll follow this for a while, but this guy seems sketchy.

Maybe the Blazers will contend for the finals under his ownership, but, to me, it matters how you do it, too. I'm not sure I can support an organization owned by a guy who does the things Dundon seems to routinely and unapologetically do.
