I can't do it on ESPN trade machine because their system isn't updated, but.....

CJ and Leonard to Sac.

Gay and Rondo to Cleveland.

Kevin Love to Portland.

Why for Cleveland? Why wouldnt sac just do that trade themselves?

Why would Boogie and Love co-exist? They've been trying to get a dynamic scorer in the backcourt and CJ is that guy. Cleveland could run with a lineup of Rondo/Irving/Gay/LeBron/Thompson. Sac gets rid of Gay/Rondo and their contracts. They get a dynamic young scorer in CJ and another young big in Leonard. I just don't see Love/Boogie co-existing well at all.

WAAAAAY too steep! For Kevin Fucking Love?! No way we go anywhere near this trade

Love is 27. He was a star in Minnesota. He hasn't worked out well in Cleveland. He's a legit star player. You think CJ/Leonard is too steep for Love?

Yeah Im not a big Klove fan he just screams good stats bad team guy. Soft mentality, no defense to speak of just goes around stealing rebounds all game and jacking up 3 pointers. its a hard pass from me especially for our second best player.

It was just too complicated and didn't make sense for Cleveland. I think a simple trade for Love would be:

CLE: Jeff Green, Meyers Leonard

POR: Kevin Love

MEM: CJ McCollum

But idk if it's enough to get Love.

And I don't know if I wanna trade CJ

Because CJ is a defensive stalwart? :devilwink:

I think it makes a lot of sense for Cleveland. I think Rondo/Irving/Gay/LeBron/Thompson matches up very well with GS. From what I understand, LeBron played some of his best basketball for Miami at power forward next to Bosh.

That's still 4 ball handlers on the floor at once with only one ball. Rondo and LeBron together wouldn't work so well imo.

I'm all for adding love. But no way Cleveland touches that deal. Irving and LeBron are basically their 2 PGs. They don't need a 3rd in rondo. Especially since rondo can't shoot a lick. What does he do when LeBron or kyrie have the ball?

Again, though, I'd love the addition of love, for all his warts. The passing between him and plumlee from the front court would be beautiful.

TBH I'd take Markieff. He's an instant plug in PF and he has a low stock. I know this probably isn't popular with most. But I think it would be the most effective way to fill the PF need without giving up much.

For people who want to trade CJ - how does getting one stud back for him improve us, when we're losing a stud to get said stud?

Because if we could get a small forward stud or a power forward stud, we could move crabbe into the starting lineup.

Example

Dame
Crabbe
Aminu
Cousins
Plumlee

That lineup looks shitty, and you've successfully gutted out bench by starting Crabbe.

But we can still go out this summer and focus on getting a small forward like chandler parsons.

Dame
Crabbe
Parsons
Cousins
Plumlee

Crabbe is a free agent this summer. Do you want to pay him 11 million per year to come off the bench?

So in other words, C.J. is the savior to the team and there's no other direction to go in.

BGD with the hyperbole as usual, but he has a point. Why is a lineup of Dame/CJ/Aminu/Vonleh/plumlee less shitty than dame crabbe aminu cousins plumlee?

Cousins is overrated and a head case. He will not bring success to the Blazers. Thus, I think having both CJ and Crabbe on the team is better than Crabbe and Cousins.

With the way Crabbe is playing, there is ZERO reason we should target DeRozan in trade OR free agency. We need SF/PF/C - that's it.

I have been looking at the various forums checking on the trade ideas from fans of other teams. The Blazers are being included in a lot of trade ideas. Having so much cap space might land us a decent draft pick, or three.

I'd like to get Brook Lopez here. He's the low post scorer we need.

BKN Gets: Brandon Jennings (DET), Meyers Leonard (POR), Al Farouq Aminu (POR), Future DET 1st, 2019 POR First, 2 Future 2nds

DET Gets: Gerald Henderson (POR), Mason Plumlee (POR), Jarett Jack (BKN)

POR Gets: Brook Lopez (BKN), Thad Young (BKN), Steve Blake (DET)

Brooklyn needs future assets and young pieces. Sheds $30M off their cap for next year.

DET upgrades their bench adding 3 rotation players.

Lillard / McCollum
Mccollum / Crabbe
Crabbe / Harkless
Vonleh / Young
Lopez / Davis
