Bledsoe would have to be included for salary purposes unless we sent Eric to Detroit.
Would you do it?

@speeds - would you be happy with OG for Bledsoe and #7?

I don't think I would from Portlands perspective.
I would. We would have gotten two starters without giving up any player who would get any minutes next year.

Bledsoe and #7 for OG and #33?
Even better!

Why not?

OK Smokin Joe Cronin - can you get him without giving the 7th?

They'd have to give more than OG

Based on the rumors i heard its the opposite. They would want us to give up more. Like Ant.
I don't think I'm for giving up more than the pick and bledsoe.
Scalma brings up something.

What about our #7, #46 & Bledsoe, for OG and #33?

That's fine but I won't be including Hart or Little in a deal for OG. They can maybe have Keon.

100% agree Nas and Ant are our future but can also be major contributors next year, providing Nas stays healthy. That makes them near untouchable to me. Hart is the defensive xfactor at guard putting him on that same shelf of near untouchable.

I think some people in here are underestimating OG. If you're worried about his injuries I can understand that but the dude is a serious defensive weapon, he can get to the hole and shoots the three with efficiency. He's really a compliment to the rest of this starting group and his floor is a known but at 24 he still hasn't hit close to his prime.

That's in response to OG for Bledsoe and 7. I would think it was an overpay if Nas or Hart were included and would want to just use the pick or move to another target at that point.

if the asking price to get OG is 7 + Hart/Nas, then i tell toronto to pound sand. Then set my sights on either taking Sharpe/Mathurin at 7, or even using 7+ Keon + 34 + future stuff to expand the Grant trade so that we can swap for 5 (Murray).

Masai Ujiri is trying to fleece us. I think we can get a better player than OG at 7.

the #7 pick is worth more than that. We need potential stars, not a starter that won't be a star.

How are you calculating the value of the #7 pick? Worth more to us? Or to other teams? Or is it because at #7 there is a virtual guarantee we can draft a player of equal potential/skill?
Picks have always been the toughest for me to gauge value because of the many xfactors.
To me, I think another B+ trade would be #7, #46 and Bledsoe for OG and #33.
I have not watched much of OG’s game, other than highlight packages posted though, so maybe you know more about him that factors into the value contrast than I?

OG is a great role player no doubt, but he is very injury prone and doesn't have the handle to climb beyond being a great role player. I would be happy just taking Sharpe and waiting a year or two tbh.
I’d rather have Daniels or Sochan if we are so desperate for a defender. I still think Sharpe is the pick though.

OG had an ACL which would be troubling if it hadn't been healthy for the last four and a half years. His other two major injuries were a broken finger and an appendectomy. I'm not sure about the appendix but fingers are rarely a chronic injury.

Sure seems that at least one of the players they like will be available. Whether it's Sharpe, Murray or Daniels . Or Duren if he's being considered.
