Think there's any chance they were lovers?

Most definitely

Says who, you?
Is this like you saying the previous poster was the only one when someone actually posted right before you that they also agreed and weren't the only one? I am not sure what you are trying to gain by being combative? I already said I would take Blake (gladly) for the right price. That doesn't mean I want any of that type of behavior on our team (which for the record, I don't see happening with Dame around).

I just don’t see how joking around with a friend equates to being problematic.

I’d bet good money that Cleveland will aggressively pursue a trade for CJ on or before draft night, using the nets pick as ammo. CJ would fit a Lebron or a Lebronless timeline. Don’t know how the money would work and I’m sure Olshey will say no (shit I would too) but it’s interesting to think about anyway.

I hadn't known about then Griffin fellatio thing so I just looked it up on YouTube. Wow, that's bad. Griffin acts like it's a joke but even though we only see the back on his head, the trainer looks pissed. That's textbook sexual harassment. Was he fined?
I think when you're a pussy like Ginger, it's called cunilingus

The one year we could accept lopsided trades was when Dame and CJ were still on their rookie deals. Same with any thoughts on having worthwhile cap space. That was a very small window that won't open again as long as Dame and CJ are on the team.

We are however one of the only teams that can take on a bad contract via the Trade Exception in a "lopsided trade" despite being over the cap. Spending as much as we want this summer by using the trade exceptions, draft picks, tax-MLE, min contracts, and/or re-signing our 4 free agents and we can use all of those options, which is pretty flexible. If they try to avoid the tax next year then they can't really use any of those options. Last year for example they didn't use their tax-MLE because they were trying to stay under the tax line. However that could have brought a good player in that would've helped if they didn't care about the tax, like Tyreke Evans. I know it sounds completely backwards but there is actually more flexibility for teams being above the luxury tax than below it. Of course being below the salary cap is the best option but there is no possible way to accomplish that.

Thanks for great response!

We created the trade exception with Crabbe, so I guess one needs some creativity. I’m not well versed in how those are made.

Tristan Thompson

Tristan Thompson

Tristan’s contract expires the summer of 2020, which would set Portland up to have a ton of cap space since Turner and Meyers come off the books as well. Too bad it’s Portland and they’ll never be players in FA.

A more likely offer would be Love and the 8th pick for CJ (and maybe 24)

Then use the TPE or MLE to get a SG.

We stay competitive, get another blue chip prospect, and set ourselves up for the summer of 2020.

Neil will never do it, but I’d consider it.

Neil would never trade CJ for KLove and the 8th pick? He'd be idiotic not too

From RealGM:

A heads up about Ed Davis...

I work for the USPS and understand Ed Davis has sold his house in Portland and it seems very likely from
NO's comments about wanting to move Zach closer to the basket that he knows he's leaving in free
agency.

That doesn't mean he's gone, Maybe he's looking for a new House in a other Location, but maybe he knows portland is not gonna re-sign him. We will see

He’d get two years of an aging player while Cleveland gets a guy entering his prime. It’s not that crazy to pass on, especially if someone like Bamba or Porter jr is off the board at 8.

There is no way Olshey would pass that up and it's even less likely that the Cavs would offer it.

The more likely offers would be some combo of Thompson, Smith, and Korver plus the 8th pick.

I'm not a big fan of getting Love but having him and Bridges or Porter Jr makes this team better. That's when you add a Courtney Lee with the TPE.

List all the players that are in a comparable situation as Plumlee was when we traded our pick for him (btw we also got Connaughton in that deal, so it was Plumlee and a second for #23 and we also threw in Blake to make it work financially.)

Oubre- Could use the Vonleh TPE to take him. Complete salary relief for Washington. Would the TPE and our pick be enough? Oubre plays a valuable position.

Jeremy Lamb

Stanley Johnson

Justice Winslow

That’s all I got. Would any of these guys even qualify as “vets?” I wouldn’t give up our pick for any of them except Oubre.

Courtney Lee seems like the most obvious target, to the point where no one should even get credit for “calling it” if it went down.
Washington isn't going to trade Oubre for #24. We'd probably have to use the bigger TPE to take on Jason Smith, Jodi Meeks (if he opts in), and Oubre for the 24th pick. I don't know if even that is enough.

Trading Porter makes more sense for them.

BTW, Plumlee had two years left on his rookie deal when we traded for him. Oubre, Johnson, and Winslow all have just one year. I'm not saying that means we won't pursue those guys though.
