I wonder if they're gonna try to bring in a coach before the draft now.
 
According to Chris Sheridan the blazers are going after Jerry Sloan. This was all over Utah radio today so Chris says?
 
Sloan and Olshey would be fucking amazing.

Would Deron play for Sloan again?
 
By the time Sloan is ready to retire Caleb should be ready. Not a bad mentor to learn from.
 
Sloan? Great! Slow down half court boring pick and roll. How great of a coach would Sloan have been without a hall of fame PG the caliber of Stockton and a hall of fame PF the likes of Malone and even then we owned them for most of the 90's.


This is a desperation move to put fans in seats. Sloan is to old and Portland doesn't have the weapons to make him look good!

See an owner with vision would got after Shaw who was tutored for years buy a 10 time nba champion coach like Phil. Further we could get Shaw for much cheaper than Sloan and he'd have the energy to turn Portland around.

It would explain why they're looking at Nash though. Put Nash with Aldridge under Sloan and we might have a winning formula.

Sterling is a notorious cheapskate. I'd bet it wouldn't take much to outbid him, certainly not the entire bankroll.

Man you are so funny. First you hear rumor that Blazers will make CB a permanent GM and you start trashing Paul Allen as though the rumor was news:

What this is telling me is that PA is such a jerk off/ego maniac to work for that no self respecting coach or GM candidate wants the headache of dealing with him or his kiss ass lacky Larry Miller on a day to day basis

This team is not a place that attracts top level talent, coaches and now GM's! Why? PA is an unstable force and the league knows it. This is a billionaire owner that didn't even give season ticket holders playoff Tshirts when he's had sell out crowds for 20+ years.... He's got the draft right around the corner with no GM or coach in place and all of this is supposed to instill confidence in being a blazer? HAHA!


And now that we have real news, you decide to take another rumor and comment on that. Only you went from the Blazers can't attract a self respecting coach to a what a mistake it is for the Blazers to hire Sloan . . . all in one day. Impressive

I'm hoping somewhere between KP and Trader Bob. The guy has to have the ability to mold the team, otherwise he's just another Chad Buchanan.
