I sure as hell don't want the PA system to be playing "I Love L.A.!" when LaMarcus scores.

MIXED MESSAGES SUCK!
Yeah our game ops crew sucks ass.
I could also stand not hearing the theme from "The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly" every single time Travis Outlaw does ANYTHING.
Yeah - we get it. Outlaw. Like from the Old West. Hardy Har Har.
Also I think the George Forman "Let's Gr ... Let's Gr ... Let's Grill 'Em!" video clip is circa 1998.

but outlaw embodies that sound clip, he's either good, bad or ugly.
So the Blazers are saying what exactly?

I've had a real problem with this since it was introduced last season. It's gotten worse, too. Now they display the words "I Love LA" on the display that rings the Rose Garden. I complained about it last year, right here on the forum, yet most people don't care. I don't get it. In any case, it should not be played tonight, under any circumstances. If it is, the the fools that run the Garden are oblivious.
That they wish they were like the Lakers?![]()
Someone needs to tell Todd the game ops director to stop doing it.
Email him: toddtime@blazers.com

I think Laker fans would rather be blazers fans...

AND LMA...he hates LA. can't someone say something to someone about that crap?
No he doesn't. Granted, he was choosing from two, but he said he would prefer LA, when he coudl have easily said I don't like either.

Q: Which Blazer has the best nickname? And are there any good nicknames among the players that we fans should know about? Do you prefer L.A. or L.M.A.?
A: Unfortunately, nobody’s nickname on our team is that great. Out of those two I’d prefer to be called L.A.
Agreed. Every time they play that, the opposing team's players always looks up at the screen with a "wth is that?" look.. it's pretty terrible. Bill Schonley's "it's rip, rip, rip city time" is cool with me though.
not the nickname...the Lakers franchise. some quote last summer.

And while we're on the subject, anyone else think it's about time they replaced Mark Mason? He brings all the energy and enthusiasm of a grandma knitting a sweater.

I agree. I said so last year as well. Do not play that damn song in the Rose Garden - EVER. Not for any reason. How on earth could the folks running things be so unfathomably clueless about this?
Listen up Blazers:
Stop playing that godforsaken anthem of the the LAKERS.And, even if it weren't a Lakers anthem, it is still a stupid song, with stupid lyrics, with (an intentionally) comically cheery pop sound and bizzare emotion to the song that is not true to the feeling that the Blazers want to get across. Randy Newman sings "I love LA", but he DOESN'T LOVE Los Angeles. HE HATES Los Angeles. That is what the song is about. So the Blazers are saying what exactly?
