Should the forum cut down on the number of mega threads?

I’m fine with small threads except when someone has completely ignored the title of other threads. “Olshey has no balls” is stupid when there is already a “Fire Olshey” thread.
Well talking about Olsheys lack of inflated spheres may be different than a conversation about Olsheys flammability.

I'd like this post, but I can't see it.

This seems to be a divisive topic on this forum, so I'm curious where people sit.

We have quite a few mega threads on here. Some people seem to want to merge everything into these mega threads, while others hate to have to sort through 30 pages to find a new piece of information or thought.

Where do you stand?

IMO, the forum is a different experience than it was a couple of years ago. I find myself coming here less because of it.

Yup I had a different sign in before and stopped coming now I forgot the password so I had to make this one.

I originally stopped coming because of Tunchi but now that I think about it he was right. We shoulda tanked when LMA left. I was too hard on him.

That is hard to do when things all get posted into one mega thread that you have to read. How do you know if you're reading what you want?

I think of it like reading headlines in a newspaper. Find something that might interest me and focus in on it. I don't want to read a bunch of silly articles to get to the one that might interest me. Saves time and sometimes a lot of grief.

One is a thread about needing to fire him...... the other is a thread about him being unwilling to make a risky trade. Two completely different topics.

LMAO, what's up Tunchi!

His first post was even about CJ's 3 point shooting being better than Dame's!

Serious questions:

What is the difference between reading 4 threads with 50 comments in them or 1 thread with 200 comments?

Isn't trying to find a post, thought, or idea in one thread the same amount of work as trying to figure out which one of the 18 Olshey sucks threads it was in?
Well there is a little bit of a problem there. You and i have had it a couple times. Two different conversations on different threads about essentially the same thing and sometimes the point of the conversation gets a little clouded. Seriously speaking i don't even look at the thread any longer as soon as it becomes the same "Make this trade" or "His Per doesn't make him worth that" kind of jibberish. Kind of seems like i can pick one of 50 different threads in the last year and get the exact same conversation.
Don't get me wrong. I'm okay with that. I just don't get involved with it much any more so it always ends up "We've already covered that" kind of thing. I'm just too busy to try and keep up and it seems everyone with an opinion has their own video show they want to refer to so they are automatically an expert.

I admit, i voted merge only because sometimes the same conversation is happening in multiple threads, but honestly i dont care either way.

With that said, im curious why you would have to search through all of the posts in a mega thread every time you search for a new piece of information or thought?
Do you not use the last unread option so each time you open the thread it starts you out right where you left off?
Never been an issue for me because of this awesome feature.
It's an awesome feature for sure. Until you use it and you are like 37 pages behind. Then i just say "Oh Well. Another thread gone".

But because he has no balls according to you, don’t you want him fired?

Do you think he has balls? Can you name some ballsy trades that he has made?
The People's Champ and a pick for Afflalo? I think his "trading" has been his weakest aspect though. Not sure what all the reasons are for it, is he playing it safe? Is he a bad negotiator? Is he not that active? No idea.

There is a time and place for everything. Trade threads and fire Olshey should get the meta treatment. Talking about a specific player trade is different let it run its course then merge it. As far as Olsheys Testicular endowment or lack there of that in itself should rate its own post if the poster lists the method of measuring. For instance did they use dial calipers to measure? and were they calibrated within the last year? Did he submit to the measurement or did they break into his home and tie him up to do the measuring? Did they get pictures because I know at least one person will want a link to this just to prove facts. Or if the poster is just on a rant and has no proof or no measurement then merge it
