Cliff Harris can drive again - legally.
The Oregon cornerback's license was reinstated today, according to Department of Motor Vehicles spokesperson Shelley Snow.
Harris was required to pay a $75 fee and provide proof of insurance in order to regain his driving privileges after they were suspended for 60 days starting on Aug. 28. The suspension was the result of Harris receiving citations in June for driving 118 mph in a 65-mph zone along Interstate-5 South near Albany and doing so with a suspended license.
However, Harris' license could be suspended for an additional 30 days if the DMV receives a notice of conviction for another traffic violation, placing Harris at the four violation limit for a 24-month period.
On Monday afternoon, Eugene police cited Harris, driving a gray convertible mustang, for not wearing a seat belt, driving while uninsured and without a license.
That prompted Oregon coach Chip Kelly to suspend Harris from the team, indefinitely.
