……..”Wait until the middle of November….the slow start in these first 2 games won’t mean a thing…..a Win is a Win!”…..

I love grind it out wins in football. The sign of a good team is being able to win in multiple ways. Most fans panic. But winning ugly, when not much goes your way, especially on the road will pay dividends when the games really matter in January.

The national rivals guys relay that Oregon verbal CB from Maryland Brandon Finney who is in Eugene right now, is back to "locked in" status with the Ducks. It was rumored for quite a while that he was going to flip to much closer to home Penn State.

Early National Signing Day is just 10 days away running Dec 4-6.

How about the Englishman?

Also to note I have the most confidence in an Oregon kicker in a long time. Bro is potentially draft worthy at this rate.

I figure if I don’t say his name it doesn’t count as a jinx…

I don't believe he has the range for the NFL. He's never made a FG of 50 yards or longer, and the NFL kickers need to have 55-60 yard range

Haastrup visited Michigan this past weekend and is visiting Oregon next weekend along with Jahkeem... looking back at my posts I could see how you thought it was this past weekend. Anyhoo those two get to enjoy the Fusky game :smiley-smiley-049: Usually whatever leaks out from an Official Visit comes a day or two after they return home. Tobi's named final schools are Florida State, Missouri, USC, Texas Tech, Michigan & Oregon.

What has come out is the murmurs about Duck verbal commit and Florida WR Dallas Wilson flipping seem done. The national rivals peeps were all aflutter about Florida swooping in because of a planned trip over last weekend, but he cancelled those plans. Also, still talk from them that Kansas State verbal TE Linkon Cure is trying to make it out to Eugene prior to announcing. Ohio State verbal 5* CB Na'eem Orford may flip, but it sounds like Oregon will just be a hat on the table... with Finney & Brew in the fold, Oregon is sitting great with CB recruiting. Lastly, there are rumblings of a top Safety prospect potentially flipping from OU to UO. Oklahoma verbal Omarion Robinson is said to be considering his options and the Ducks have been involved with his recruitment for a while. Btw, I specify when stuff comes from the national recruitment staff as they are not at all biased towards Oregon

For the most part it seems like Lanning is going after top shelf recruits for the class and is fine with ending up with less total kids then whats been the norm. I assume he will then fill out the roster with transfers.

The Ducks are getting a visit next week from a very intriguing DE prospect. Tobi Haastrup is a recent Texan who was raised primarily in England. His Senior year in HS was the first time he played or even learned the most basic rules of the game, like how the whole downs system works. However, being 6'4 240 and able to run a 10.7 100M is very helpful and eleven D1 offers came in following his very first game which he had 5 sacks in. For a size/speed comparison, Oregon OLB Devon Jackson is said to maybe be the fastest LB in college football. His Senior year of HS he was listed 6'1 200 lbs and ran a 10.54 100M

Part of the draw to Eugene may be that Tobi is also a top track athlete throwing the shot put. His educational goal is to become a MD.

In the highlights below, some of the reactions of the OLineman he destroys are enjoyable

Well, he has already been wearing GREEN.

facepalm... I've messed up one of the visit timelines again. 5* DLineman Jahkeem Stewart WAS in town this past weekend. He's supposed to have spent considerable time with Jordon Burch along with Lanning and other coaches. Burch was an important guy for him to spend time with as he comes from the South and would play a similar role as a Duck. He visits tOSU next weekend

Also Brandon Arrington, the California speedster I posted the track highlight of didn't make it to Eugene last weekend as planned. He's said to be leaning towards TAMU, but 2026 class commitments are a year off so we shall see

Lots of rumors about different guys. Supposedly some secret visits during the bye week.

Gonna be interesting to see how things turn out.

I'm pretty cynical about elite 5-star guys playing the role Goldilocks less than 10 days before NLI day. I'm pretty sure they are simply posturing for the biggest NIL deal they can get

I would be surprised if Oregon lands either Stewart or Offord. I have been told by somebody who should know that Division Street makes a 'final' offer and sticks with it. If a player won't commit, but then comes back asking for more, the Duck collective almost always says no. And I'm pretty sure Stewart and Offord are jonesing for the biggest deals they can get

Offord is supposedly going to Auburn because his girlfriend goes there.

Stewart is rumored to be going to USC tonight.

Rivals doesn't do the prediction game much but one of their main national guys said he's heard the Stewart camp has decided & it's USC. He's been scheduled to go to tOSU over next weekend, we shall see

What happened to Mookie Cook? So much hype about his recruitment but I haven’t seen him on the court

Coach was really, really pissed at him tonight when he got that tech! Kwame Evans another guy who still hasn't showed much.

No, that kid was/is VERY good. The way you post bro, it’s as if you have never been around athletics a day in your life. Amazes me……

Big bro his past talents are not being questioned. It just looks like he isn’t ready for this stage. Maybe this is where his limits are. That’s all

Then say that homie! You DID question his talent. That kid is a tough baller. Athletes take different paths. Thats why when I see people on here get personal with the insults towards these guys, it blows my mind.
Some adjust, some don’t. Took Billups 3 teams before he got his shit together. Look at all the all Americans in college that can’t even get drafted. That kid is from the neighborhood and I’ll support him like we do all the neighborhood kids. Quit tossing hate around.

I just asked what happening with him because I haven’t heard. I’ve watched him and know he’s very talented

Knew he had quite a lot of outside influences on all his hoop decisions. Uncles and cousins and family talking him into moving to play elsewhere and do this and do that…. Finally came home a decided to go to UofO. Not sure whats going on. Just wishing him the best. I think people forget what these athletes are dealing with pressure wise.
