Oregon Ducks 2024!

Really? They're going with the she didn't break up with me, I broke up with her first?

NOKOG... ironic following the Fusky game

Cure had been out to UO many times prior to this last weekend so obviously he's held real interest & built relationships here. Reports all along were that the Duck coaches remained in regular contact with him & he was still their top TE target... the key being he hadn't actually shut his recruitment down. Being the hometown hero and closer to mom won out with his initial verbal but he remained open. The speculation was always that if he came out West again he was doing so to flip.

Putting yourself in his shoes, besides UO being the much better program & likely more NIL, what would be the bigger factor? The opportunity to live in Oregon or not to live in Kansas?

That's amazing that Boise State could get a #4 seed while being ranked #11, by being the 4th-highest-ranked conference champion.

There's no way that OSU stays at 5. I would think either PSU or UO will get that spot depending on who wins the B1G.

That would pave the way for pretty good set of draws depending on who wins.

This is the first season of Duck football I've followed since Dennis Dixon was quarterback and I'm thrilled as my closest in-law who's a Duck alumni and die hard lifelong fan probably won't live to see next season due to pancreatic cancer....the whole family has been cheering hard for them to win it all this season and win one for him! I've followed every game and this is the year...I can feel it! My son was at the last game and my grandson has been to two games this year. Book it! The Ducks are going all the way! Looks like the Bears are going to make a big offer to Lanning to coach in Chicago next season. The guy is a hot ticket around the NFL now. This is an incredible two way football team and it's special!

Ducks just signed the #2 D lineman in the 2026 class.

Bott Mulitalo out of Utah

just a quibble...he verbally committed and it's a year away from his early signing date. Much can happen. For instance in the November just passed, something like 180 recruits flipped their commitments. Welcome to the age of NIL

by the way, speaking of the brave new world:

Oregon is going to be a lot different team next season. They lose a lot of quality seniors:

Jeffrey Bassa
Matthew Bedford (may take his redshirt this season)
Bryce Boettcher
Andrew Boyle
Jordan Burch
Jamaree Caldwell
Ajani Cornelius
Terrance Ferguson
Dillon Gabriel
Marcus Harper II
Patrick Herbert
Traeshon Holden
Jestin Jacobs
Brandon Johnson
Tez Johnson
Tysheem Johnson
Dontae Manning
Jabbar Muhammad
Nikko Reed
Kobe Savage
Nishad Strother
Keyon Ware-Hudson

I expect the Ducks to go pretty heavy into the transfer portal

they also will be reserving some NIL to try and convince juniors to come back next season:

Gary Bryant Jr.
Josh Conerly Jr.
Jahlil Florence
Derrick Harmon
Jordan James
Sione Laulea
Evan Stewart
Noah Whittington

Harmon is projected to go in the first round of the NFL draft; I really doubt the Ducks will be able to retain him. Conerly is probably gone too, although the Ducks are reportedly talking to him quite a bit. Jordan James may also be a challenge to bring back as RB's have a short shelf life in the NFL

James is currently projected as the #3 running back this draft.

I can see Conerly coming back. He could become a 1st rounder.

Stewart may even leave for the draft. Especially if they win the natty.

That is going to be a whole hell of a lot to replace defensively though
