I don't think it's pushing back. I think it is simply understanding that this is the first year of this format and it will likely take time to get it dialed in.I get it. Yes, whoever wins the title will have to win.
I believe the #1 seed should get the more favorable draw. It appears some other folks don't think the seeds should matter and it should be more of a random draw. Difference of opinions.
I am very surprised people are even pushing back at the idea the bracket is so unbalanced and out of wack. Anyone acting like any championship team has to go through all the best teams has omitted years of results in the brain. NCAA basketball doesn't do this. No major pro league does this. And for good reason.
I do like all the coach speak in your post though!
I'd rather have what we have than to have let it wait another decade with the talking heads arguing over the details.
Sure, it could be better. I'm simply not worried about it. If the Ducks can get it done we get to watch a lot of really good football.
