I will admit, I was kind of hoping the Vikings wouldn't trade up for McCarthy and would "settle" for Nix. I'll be very interested to see how he does in Denver.

one of Nix's minor issues was overthrows on some of his long passes; playing in Denver won't help. He didn't take many hits in the passing game at Oregon either because of the OLine. I don't think the NFL will be so gentle

This is true about all 6 QBs taken in the first round. Granted he is not an elite scrambler, (although decent) but I think he might be better than some of the others at reading a defense. Accurate and smart is a pretty good combo in the NFL...in the right system. They all will need to get rid of the ball quickly.

I wish Denver was in a different division than the Chargers. I want to root for both now

That's true, although Caleb Williams took plenty of hits behind that porous USC line. The NFL has a few dozen pretty elite edge rushers, and DC's are expert at disguising where pressure is coming from

so far, IIRC, Bo Nix, JPJ, Troy Franklin, Brandon Dorlus, and Khyree Jackson have been drafted. I think only Bucky Irving is left as a possibility. Outside shot for Evan Williams and Steven Jones. All three will probably have to sign as undrafted

Evan Williams and Bucky both drafted. I think Bucky has the possibility to be a featured back at some point.
