I don’t know why they continue to overrate Texas. They weren’t that good last year and they really don’t look that good this year. Manning looks really rough.

Not sure I agree. First game against Ohio State at the shoe and they lost by 7.I don’t know why they continue to overrate Texas. They weren’t that good last year and they really don’t look that good this year. Manning looks really rough.
Manning looked horrible. Not at all like a Heisman candidate. He missed a ton of easy throws. Not sure I agree. First game against Ohio State at the shoe and they lost by 7.
I’m betting if they played again next week in Texas the game would be different.
Which is kind of my point. I honestly doubt he will look bad next week. When he was good he was really good.Manning looked horrible. Not at all like a Heisman candidate. He missed a ton of easy throws.
I wasn't super impressed with him last year and it's a little concerning that Hughes is like... 4th on the depth chart.
I didn’t think Harris looked good on the carry he got. He had that good reception though.4th?
Whittington
Limar
Davidson
Hill
Harris
they all looked better as RB's

If Hughes is that bad, I’m concerned. Limar and Whittington really struggled at times last year against B1G competition.
Wonder how my Ducks quarterback would have looked at the Buckeyes and how Manning would have looked against Montana State at Billings or whoever we played.Which is kind of my point. I honestly doubt he will look bad next week. When he was good he was really good.

What I like about Harris ( 6'2" 224) is that he looks to be a good blocker and receiver. So on passing downs, I feel good about him being in there.
As for Whittington, he struggled early in his return from injury last year, but he improved as the season progressed. And still finished the year with 6 yards per carry. I wouldn't sleep on him. He is a complete back.
As for Hughes, yeah, I expected him to be a bit more explosive. However, he may have been slow to grasp the offense, which could cause him to be indecisive on his runs.
The two true freshmen look to have a ton of potential.
I'm just really not comfortable handing this dude the starting spot.

Hughes was supposed to be that guy. Hopefully they didn’t spend too much on him.there's no real alternative. He's more of a default starter than anything else
