Oregon needs to come out and rack up points right away. I think we will need to score upper 30'3 in order to win.

They beat UW by 15.
whats the over under on sacking Williams? This is their Super Bowl & I can't wait for the party! Against passing plays, Oregon's DLine has been excellent all year at bracketing QBs with their pressure & then collapsing the pocket. I don't predict they'll have another day like last year's 10 sacks but their rushing approach is the perfect way to keep a running QB like Demond bottled up. If Oregon heals up well this week especially on the OL, they should be able to run on them. If their excellent run game can move the ball, I really like the Ducks chances. Both sides should be completely motivated, Oregon has the better lines and overall talent.

I hope you're right

My worry is the husky QB. He's very elusive and the Ducks play a lot of zone, and that's vulnerable to a quick QB running toward open spots of the zone.

Boettcher should be playing QB spy all game.

I'd be all for him lining up at the Wildcat behind a jumbo package on the 1 again... dude did play some QB in HS. I love the thought of everyone knowing whats coming and the demoralizing realization there isn't a thing they can do to stop it

I hope the Ducks realize they're in a real fight for their season today.
I'm positive they realize it

rivalry games are unpredictable, especially playing on the road.

Duck D has only given up 134 yards and 7 points to a high powered offense that's playing at home. Duck O has missed on a couple of plays they normally convert. Probably should be 17-7, but oh well

I was not confident at all about this game. Ducks need to take the 2nd half kickoff down and score a TD

I
Could you imagine if they hadn’t kicked those FG’s? I’m impressed with Lanning knowing it’s a rivalry game and taking the points while they’re there for the taking is the right thing to do.
wasn't suggesting they should have gambled on 4th down...just that they had several drives that didn't complete

Luckily this was Danielson’s last call. That guy would froth over any of the original Big 10 schools and slight the new blood in the conference at any opportunity. I rolled my eyes any time I saw it was a CBS game.

Washington dominated the running game on O and D. Not a good sign.

Washington dominated the running game on O and D. Not a good sign.
Washington entered the game with the 16th best rush defense in the country, and they sold out on D to stop the Ducks run game; and the Ducks kept running enough to keep the Huskies in their base defense; and that opened up their passing game. Oregon averaged 10 yard a pass attempt and over 14 yards per completion. That's excellent.

obviously, on D, Oregon's game plan was to contain Williams and limit both his arm and his legs. They were willing to concede some chunk plays in the running game to keep Williams from running lose and hitting long passes. Washington came into the game averaging 257 yards passing and 9 yards per pass. Oregon held them to 129 yards and 4.3 yards a pass

Huskies came into the game averaging 427 yards total offense; Ducks held them to 283
they were averaging 257 yard passing: Ducks held them to 129
they were averaging 170 yards rushing; Duck held them to 154. Ducks held them to their average yards/rush
they were averaging 35.5 points/game and 40.5 games at home; Ducks held them to 14

honestly, I don't see the not-good sign(s) you do. When you play and 8-3, on the road, in a rivalry game you have to expect the opponent to have success. The Huskies had some, but not nearly enough

now, the snapshot of Benson's catch and run maybe shows the advantage of speed like few other pictures have:

in a box of 6 washington players and his speed defeats them all

Yeah Washington is no slouch, rivalry game. I expected a close game. Overall I think that should be chalked up as a quality win.
That was their 2 home loss in 4 years...And to hold them to two TD's. Impressive win.
