Man I wish the ducks can win this game

Everyone is different. But, if I was a top 5 pick, i'm gone. The difference between top 5 and going 15th is like 20 million. Football is too high of a risk for injuries.

Of course the difference between a young NFL QB establishing themselves as a legit starter or not for the 2nd contract is much more then 20 million every year of the contract. Yes football is a rough game, but I'm struggling to think of many 1st round QBs who's careers were derailed by injury (RG3). Conversely, I can think of many physically talented 1st rounders with limited college snaps who struggled mightily when their professional careers started after being thrust into early action for bad organizations. Confidence is hard to fake and it's built from reps.

Sort of similarly, if I was advising a high profile HS QB with the ability to go most any college, I'd point to the value of going to somewhere other then the highest profile schools like Oregon even if it meant significantly less initial NIL. Gaining a wealth of experience is invaluable for young QBs and along with talent & environment probably the biggest factors in ultimate success in their chosen profession. If becoming a successful NFL QB is the goal, I'd stress the value of getting a ton of D1 snaps in first.

Think positive....I remember a couple years back the ducks went to Columbus with their 5 star d lineman and bog time receiver out and we won the game on grit.

The wheels are falling off. Oregon is down to 3 RBs who have taken a snap this season. Noah Whittington (who is listed as questionable to play), Freshman Dierre Hill Jr (who has pass blocked a grand total of 1 play this year) & Jay Harris (who is in the transfer portal). Yikes!
