After stealing our victory in Milwaukee??

Ridiculous. Bucks were up 106-100 with the game in the bag but the refs brought the Lakers back into it. So stupid. With the Bucks up 106-102, Kobe traveled AND charged into Andrew Bogut but they called the foul on Bogut so the score was cut to 106-105. Bucks missed on the next possession and then Kobe hits the game winner at the buzzer. He never should've been in the position to hit a game winner. So stupid.

How come you and PapaG are never in here at the same time? ;)

After tonight, I just couldn't resist.

Hahahaha.

Nate Bishop holds a gun at me in his avatar after wanting to meet me to see if I'm "pathetic" in person.

Good times on S2. I'm surprised at you, ABM. I don't know Nate, and I want as much on this board as I can about him.

That was a horrible call, such a charge on the out of control Kobe. He traveled with the ball as well. Only in the NBA.

Just saw the end of the game on ESPN.

Wow. I thought the officiating was on the level now. :ghoti:

Thank you, refs.

I'm so glad we get all the calls! Wouldn't have won that championship last year if it wasn't for the refs!

omg, i kNOEZZ!!1!1!!!

and im so glad the refs bailed us out even though we already shot 16 more free throws!

wow! we are such a spoiled franchise!

I'd say Wow! to how bad that blocking call in Milwaukee was if it wasn't exactly what everyone expects when the L*kers are involved.

Should've made setting his feet more obvious. He was shuffling a lot before.

NBA = Pro Wrestling

I'm just shocked that Dick Bavetta wasn't on that call.

Hell, everyone makes it sound like this is the first time in the NBA a bad call was ever made. Anyone ever hear of a guy name Michael Jordan? More calls have gone his way than anyone i've ever watched play before! I hated the BULLS of the 90's... Lakers get the nod. They are the champs. It happens. Kobe has paid his dues... Kobe made a big time shot to seal the deal. LAKERS4LIFE!

KS you need to take off the Homer goggles for once cause the shit caked on them is clouding your view. SUre that was a bad call on the Kobe deal but they they didn't steal squat from us. Besides if you lose because of 1 bad call then you didn't care care of business.

That's an interesting justification. Exactly what dues has K*be paid, pray tell?

He should be in prison in the Vail Valley.

Kobe has paid his dues.. He's a superstar and superstars however you feel about them get those superstar calls. Lebron has gotten them. Wade has gotten them. What makes Kobe different? You may not like it, but thats the way things are. Did I think it was a charge? Yes I did. Was the game handed to the Lakers? Hell no. Kobe had to make the 3 point play. He made the basket, made the free throw and had to make the game winner at the buzzer.

Did the Bucks have a chance to seal the deal after that call? Hell ya. But it didnt happen... lets move forward. its one game. If we had lost, it would have been on Kobe too.

Stop with the PRISON CRAP. He went thru the JUDICIAL SYSTEM and was proven not GUILTY. Are you still not over it? Let God judge him. Not you..

If you cant respond intelligently, then it worthless debating with you. ENJOY.... Im done.

Hey Trench I'm not one to let facts get in the way of a good opinion, but Kobe settled out of court. That essentially means Kobe paid her a huge sum of cash to drop the charges.... Why would he do that? Ohh and that is considerably different than going through the judicial system and being proven free of guilt.

he got them starting his rookie year and he gets at least as much leeway with this BS as anyone. Superstar calls are David Stern's creation and make me want to puke. Like allowing players to gesticulate in protest of every single call, this is what Stern and Co has decided is best for their league. It certainly doesn't have to be this way. No other professional sport openly acknowledges that some of their players are more equal then others. No other league lets their players mock their officials.

dude paid millions to settle a felony rape charge and avoid going to trial. He was not proven not guilty. If he believed in his innocence, he should have gone to trial. Basically, you root for a rapist...not that there is anything wrong with that.

Is this a sports forum or a criminal investigation forum?

I root for a basketball player and a basketball team. Not for a rapist. If he did in fact do what she had claimed he did, let GOD BE THE JUDGE OF THAT. He was never in fact proven guilty. Im I correct? I really would like to know. But, as far as I know, he's not guilty. INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GULITY CORRECT? He settled out of court? Honestly, I did not know that. I seriously missed that part. I'm guilty of not knowing everything about Kobe Bryant. WOW!

Maybe he just didnt want to deal with all the months of court. Maybe she didnt. Who knows. I follow the Lakers and Kobe on the basketball court, not much off season with their personal life. I knew he had gone or was "SUPPOSE" to go to court, and I figured he was cleared of the charges since he was never sentenced. Unfortunately, I dont live and breathe the personal lives of the players who play for my beloved Laker team.

What really bugs me about these posts, is the simple fact that we should be talking about basketball and someone comes in to talk about something totally not about basketball. Argue about basketball all you want. I'm fine with it.

This is about the refs handing the GAME to LAKERS RIGHT? Well, i dont think that happened and I explained why. Then we get someone coming onto the thread, posting some single random sentence totally unrelated to the topic.

I do agree with you partially on the superstar calls. I dont know if its all STERNS creation, but I dont think SUPERSTARS should get this treatment. However, Kobe Bryant is one of the SUPERSTARS in the NBA, and no matter what you think of it, the haters have to endure it. haha... If it were just KOBE, I'd say we'd have a problem here, but its not. It may not be agreeable, but as you have acknowledged yourself, it is part of the game and as I mentioned earlier, the BUCKS still had a chance to close it out. They even had an offensive board and a missed 2nd look. Kobe took advantage of the opportunity to seal the game and did. Nuff said.

Hey Trench let me extend the olive branch. I get what you are saying, I bet you can't truly deny that the call was blown. That's pretty obvious, but the question is did they blow it on purpose? I think the issue of your counter comment that caused a little response was saying that flamish response is that he's a superstar therefore he deserves to get calls like that. Well in all honesty in the spirit of sportsmanship no player should ever get preferential treatment on the field of competition.... Ever. Does it happen? Of course it does, but that doesn't make it defensible.

That is the one element that makes Golf one of the great sportsman's games (some of the younger hot heads have tarnished it) you call you're own fouls on yourself. In fact if you ever see a match-play event, opponents have the right to call a player out on not calling a penalty on themselves, but almost never will due to the honor system.

So in other words good players will get calls, but we as fans should at least try to be honest and say "Wow we got away with one there, but I'll take the win"
