Los Angeles Clippers guard Chauncey Billups suffered a torn left Achilles tendon Monday night and will miss the remainder of the season, the team announced Tuesday.

"I feel sick for him," Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro said Tuesday when reached on his cell phone by ESPNLosAngeles.com's Ramona Shelburne. "He's such a pro. After the game last night it was bittersweet. Everyone was just quiet in the locker room, quiet on the plane. People know how much Chauncey means to us -- his character, his leadership. Not only his abilty to play at a high level, but his character and the intagibles he brings. That's why we brought him here. I just feel sick for him."

The Allstar break is going to a much needed break around the entire league.

Clippers try to sign Mills?

Yesterday - 10 day contracts can now be signed.
Friday - All contracts gauranteed for remainder of season.

That sucks. I've always been a big Billups fan. High character guy that you can tell the youngsters look up to.

8 straight days off over all-star break

Utah tied with us in the loss column. Tomorrow's game is a big one for us.

Derrick Brown of the Bobcats shot 10 of 10 from the field tonight in Boston.

Steve Nash is a fuckin boss! Clutch shot with 5 secs left to break the tie and take the lead.

18 and 11 tonight on 8/13 shooting in 35mins on the second night of a back to back. This, after dropping 24 and 11 last night on 9/12 shooting in 31mins last night.

No you don't. We would be complaining how he gets only 2 minutes a game under Nate.

Really, it'd more likely be people eating crow after bashing him the previous two seasons for not having the guts to come here and play.

Ellis with 30pts at half vs Westbrook

Blazers could use him.

It's amazing what having shooters does for your offense

Blazers fail
