Meh - it's just two points, and it wasn't even Hibbert's fault. You can't let Durant drive down the lane without resistance. Once he had a full head of steam and left the floor, there wasn't anything Hibbert could do.

But, in the end - SCOREBOARD. Hibbert's team won and he put up 21/12 with 4 BLKs. Given the choice, I'd take the win and Hibbert's over all production over Durant's dunk.

And I'm sure you'd still Draft the bust over Durant, as well.

No, I didn't say I'd take Hibbert over Durant. Hibbert will be a free agent this summer. Durant won't, and he wouldn't come to Portland if he was. Not that Hibbert will either, but some on this board seem to think it's a possibility.

Faried has 27pts and 17rebs tonight in just 24 minutes.

Unbelievable how bad we fucked that one up.

Minnetanka in full Tankerwolves mode.

Losing to a starting five of Nash, Gortat, Shannon Brown, Channing Frye, and Jarred Dudley by 30 at home in the 4th quarter. Of course, Stat Beast has his usual 25/13 in 39 minutes of a blow-out.

Adleman is garbage.

Minny's playing themself into a higher pick than us.

Kind of a smart move by Adelman. If 80% of your team goes down to injury, might as well tank.

Tanking does no good. They don't have their pick.

Minnetanka doesn't have their own pick. Adelman just isn't a very good coach, unless he's trying to put the Blazers lower than the Tankerwolves' pick, which goes to New Orleans.

I wish we had Adelman. They have a lot of injuries.

I had a classic S2 meltdown when we drafted Smith over Faried. I lobbied for the Manimal for a good two months before the draft and even more so on draft day.

It was a total McMillan pick. And I blame Buchanan for going with it.

Says who? Seems like McMillan sure didn't play Smith much, if he was a "Nate" guy.

Nate is also responsible for signing Crawford, trading for Felton and trading away Wallace and Camby. All Nate moves. :)

In fact if the this years draft doesn't work out, still close enough in time to blame Nate.

He quickly found out he wasn't NBA caliber.

No, but he was responsible for the drafting of Tareun Green and his 3 or 4 wins he contributed to us...

Absolutely correct. Babbitt was too, since he was rated as top shooter in the draft and McMillan was crying for shooters.

Then he wouldn't play the rookies as usual. He ruined young players by steering them from their talents into thinking about defense too much.

This is supposedly what Bill Simmons said in a recent article

Remember when New Jersey's bid for Dwight Howard fell through, then they panicked and swapped a top-three protected 2012 pick to Portland for Gerald Wallace, and everyone said, "Wait a second, why would someone give up a top-three protected pick for the third-best player on a sub-.500 team?" Not reported at the time: New Jersey could have landed Pierce for that same pick, only they chose Wallace because he was a full five years younger."

Good thing they chose Wallace, who is ironically probably more broken down than Pierce.
