Kevin Love goes 31/20 while going 6/18 from the field.

What a ballhog!!! I can't wait for the fights in that lockerroom this year while his more talented teammates start to get pissed about the White Hole dominating the game in losses.

Love is a beast.

Beasley has such tunnel vision.

I noticed that Darko has the touch of Przybilla on offense -- he really should be asking for the ball. I'd think Rick would have realized this. Guess not.

Love is a STAT BEAST. He went 6/18 tonight against a bad team. Fantasy team? All-NBA. Real world? Franchise player for a lottery team.

He'd be a great 2nd/3rd option guy on a contender.

Did you watch the game? Many of those misses were tip-ins that didn't go down.

Pau was playing the game when they were up by nearly 30.

He scored 20 pts.

His first 20 pt game since April.

LAME.

It's funny how Kevin Love can engender such strong reactions. I will say this without hesitation, if the T-Wolves don't lock him up with an extension, I'd love to see the Blazers get this guy with a chunk of their cap room this summer.

Well we will need a center with Camby and Oden leaving.

If the Blazers could somehow acquire Love I think LMA can play some center ... wouldn't hurt to draft a project though.

I'd like Love/LaMarcus/Wallace(or Batum) as my front line. Three forwards, but Love rebounds like a center, and LaMarcus posts up like a center. No problem for us there, lots of problems for the defense (since all three forwards have range out to 22 feet).

He's putting up franchise numbers, though. LOL. That's the point. Minny almost has to max him, don't they?

Jon Leuer looked like a vet against the Wolves. Rebounding in traffic and taking smart shots. Nice pickup for the Bucks.

...and he defends like a D-League All-Star. I find this too funny. Love is the modern-day version of SAR. A 3rd player who puts up terrific stats on a horrible team.

Possibly so. If I were Blazers GM, I might keep Love on another team just so I can guarantee two 30+ point games from LMA.

No matter how many times you say it , it does not make it true. Did Oden not renogiate his contract so he is still a restricted free agent at the end of the year? What am I missing here. Why would he take less money this year just to leave at the end of the year? Did that not really happen? Or was it just a rumor?

Minny needs a center in the worst way.

Asik would fit in great next to Love. They need someone like that -- defensive oriented.

It might be easier to just pretend Oden doesn't exist when talking about the future for the Blazers. Just too many question marks associated with that kid right now. Later in the season, we'll probably know more one way or the other, and can start counting on him. But (as much as he seems to be trying to instigate) I think Brock is fine to assume nothing from him.

What you are missing is that he's a completely unrestricted free agent come July.

Edit: and yes he took a paycut to his QO, because he's incapable of passing a physical right now ... which means that without the Blazers renegotiating down from the 8.8 million they would have had to pay him (down to a more favorable number) he couldn't have gotten a contract before the season started.

OK so you are saying the rumor was false. It was reported at one time that we would retain the same status as this year. When did they come out and clarify it?

when was that a "rumor?" That sounds more like misconception to me.

His options going into this season were one of three outcomes. 1. Sign an offer sheet with another team where the Blazers either match or don't. 2. accept the QO and become a UFA at season's end, or 3. Accept a different contract from the Blazers with no offer sheets forthcoming and the QO rescinded. In his case he took option 3 and negotiated a one year contract for a figure less than his QO.

Possibly a misconception because it never made sense to me, but I had heard (Either radio or internet) that because the current injury had not yet healed that Greg could negotiate a one year deal and push back the status of his contract one year keeping him a restricted free agent at the end of the year. Although I had doubts, someone on the Blazer network said it. Thus I classified it as a rumor.

Sources familiar with Orlando's thinking say that a picture of what the Magic will ultimately expect in return for their anchor has indeed begun to emerge, telling ESPN.com this week that Orlando would not hold out for youth and draft picks as the league-owned New Orleans Hornets were ordered to do in the Chris Paul sweepstakes. The Magic, sources say, would instead prefer to bring back multiple established veterans who can keep the team competitive.

Reason being: Orlando has moved into a new arena last season and has a 85-year-old owner in Rich De Vos. Sources say De Vos has little interest in starting over/rebuilding, as evidenced by the recent decisions to trade for Glen "Big Baby" Davis and re-sign Jason Richardson even though Howard's future is so murky.

Outside of Gerald and Camby, what else can we offer for Dwight and still remain competitive ourselves?

Gotta keep LA and Nic, I think.

With a core of LA/Nic alongside him in the front court, would Dwight be willing to sign an extension with us?
