Outside of Gerald and Camby, what else can we offer for Dwight and still remain competitive ourselves?

Gotta keep LA and Nic, I think.

With a core of LA/Nic alongside him in the front court, would Dwight be willing to sign an extension with us?

To even have a chance you have to start with LaMarcus as the main cog in the package.

Atlanta offered the horrendous contract of Joe Johnson and Josh Smith for Howard.

I would have hung up on them immediately.

Miami's found their PG of the future. Norris Cole. Baller.

I like him but Spo needs to provide better spacing. If Cole is going to play with the starters then we need Jones/Battier in the lineup, not Haslem.

I guess if Cole ever develops a three point shot then Chalmers is done. Until then I wouldn't mind seeing Cole coming off the bench. Like a mini Jamal Crawford or something.

Cole reminds me of Boobie Gibson. A lot of players would look good playing off of LBJ/Wade.

I don't see the comparison. Boobie was a one dimensional shooter. Cole is a jack of all trades type with inconsistent shooting.

Possibly a misconception because it never made sense to me, but I had heard (Either radio or internet) that because the current injury had not yet healed that Greg could negotiate a one year deal and push back the status of his contract one year keeping him a restricted free agent at the end of the year. Although I had doubts, someone on the Blazer network said it. Thus I classified it as a rumor.

Whomever said that has no idea what they are talking about (my vote for "most likely to have uttered this" would be for Jay Allen?)

PHILADELPHIA (AP)—Two sports executives have sued former Philadelphia 76ers owner Comcast-Spectacor seeking a $2 million finder’s fee over the team’s October sale.

Plaintiffs Robert Whitsitt and Thomas Shine say they introduced investor Jason Levien to Comcast-Spectacor chairman Edward Snider at a lunch meeting late last year. They say they were promised $2 million if they found a purchaser and met certain other conditions.

In November, Cleveland Cavaliers guard Manny Harris got into a Cryon-X machine on Nike's campus in Beaverton, Ore. When he came out, he had a nasty freezer burn on the side of his right foot. "I saw the pictures of it and I said, 'Oh, my God,'" Cavs coach Byron Scott told the News-Herald.

Unable to be seen by team physicians because the lockout was still in place, Harris reportedly tried to let it heal on its own. The burn set him back so much, he couldn’t compete for his job and was waived by the team last week when the Cavs decided to pick undrafted rookie Mychel Thompson over the former University of Michigan star.

Yes I remember reading about that back when the setback news first broke. However my understanding now is Oden will be an UFA.

The wording was confusing since the contracts talked about retaining his RFA status if the offer sheet wasn't able to be agreed to from Oden not passing a physical. But once we agreed on a new 1 year contract, which we have for a lesser amount, then the RFA status ends and Oden will become an UFA. I think Quick or someone tweeted the same confirmation and so I sort of buried it away in the back of my mind.

I would like to know if theres any official confirmation just to be certain though.

This is actually a great idea. Not that I am shocked you had one, just trying to express through type how great an idea it is. What other teams are out there that went through this? OKC? Memphis?

Almost certainly. Kevin O'Connor is a great talent evaluator and team builder.

Yeah Seattle did it. They succesfully built a title contending roster but the city lost the team.

Never thought cho was a bum, but he didn't do much for Portland. Either it be Allen not giving him the power, or cho just wanting to have a full season to evaluate, he was meh in PDX

Yes....but he was drafted too high imo. Bobcats need to be looking for stars, not role players. Kemba looks great though.
